Story
Curie was adopted in 2017 as a stray. Life had been hard for her; she was found with an embedded collar, found to be FIV+, and very underweight. Soon after being adopted she was bit by a dog, from which the injuries required surgery. From that bite she has a limp, and likely developed FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis). All of that being said, Curie is quite a content kitty! Though still understandably wary at times. You will often find her perched in a window or snuggled on the couch. Her favorite activities are playing with string toys, watching for -and sometimes catching- critters on the patio, and napping with you during movie night. She is a talker, especially around breakfast and dinner! She is being rehomed because her flareups usually mean a vet visit &/or meds, which are no longer affordable. During flareups, she will urinate outside of the litterbox in the same spot (peepads work great). She needs medicated food (Royal Canin), calming plug-ins/collar, and a loving home.
