Story
This is Bolt. He is a British Shorthair and Domestic Shorthair mix who came from Kuwait. Bolt has been diagnosed with a slight case of Cerebral Hypoplasia (CH). This results frequently when a pregnant momcat contracts a virus and her kittens are impacted while she is fighting the illness. Wobbly kitties can be some of the most loving and precious kitties that owners who have had one, look for them. Bolt's CH is slight and not expected to degrade as he ages. He is a little wobbly when he walks and sometimes his legs slip out from under him but is otherwise fine. He is also missing canine teeth but this does not impact his ability to eat dry or wet food. Can you open your heart to this wonderfully loving kitty? This sweet boy is awaiting for his forever home. * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), combo tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate), treated for parasites, and most have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be slightly more. For a pair, we reduce the adoption fee slightly.November 6, 2024, 4:36 am

Story
Momo is a 5 year old sweetheart, but he was previously traumatized by apartment maintenance workers and unfortunately developed PTSD from these incidents. We moved to a townhouse on a busy street about a year ago and Momo is still very scared of all the traffic and other loud noises, to the point where he has basically been living in a small bedroom upstairs for almost all hours of the day. I have another cat that is my ESA. They used to play together but Momo has accidentally hurt him on multiple occasions (Momo was scared by something and my other cat just happened to be in the way). Ever since then, my ESA has been really nervous around Momo and he started getting scared of things that he was never scared of before. So I have had to separate the cats when I am not home and constantly keep an eye out on them. It has been a very stressful situation for all involved. Momo deserves the best and he would do best in a quiet area and quiet home with no kids.

Story
Certainly! Here's an improved version: --- We are seeking a new home for our 4-year-old British Shorthair cat. She is not getting along well with other cats in our household and can become aggressive when nervous, especially if approached by people or other cats. Additionally, we are preparing for a long-distance move, and she gets extremely stressed during flights. She would do best in a home where she is the only pet and with someone who can provide her with a calm and understanding environment.

Story
Who says you don’t get second chances in life? That’s certainly not true for this sweet older lady. We don’t know much about her back story, but what we do know is that somehow she found herself alone on the streets of Baltimore. She was taken to Baltimore Animal Control, where everyone there immediately fell in love with her. As stressful as it must have been to lose her home, be kicked out on the street and then wind up at a busy shelter, her wonderful disposition just shined right through. She absolutely adores people and was a well loved pet at one point. She can’t get enough of being petted and receiving belly rubs. She is an easy going ol’ gal and gets along fine with other cats and animals. She’s extremely adaptable. She has perfect litter box skills and manners. She’s not one to climb up curtains or scratch on furniture. Her favorite thing in the world is just to snooze next to her person. She does have a playful side, but in general she’s a very calm girl. Just an all around sweetheart. She will make a new family very happy. Like all Furever Home cats, Uni is FeLV positive. If you’d like more information about FeLV or Uni, please contact FureverHomeMD@gmail.comOctober 25, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Sweet little Daisy has every reason to distrust people, but like most animals, they are willing to give us a second, and sometimes a fifth, chance. Daisy was abandoned on the streets with her brother when her family moved out and left them behind. A few months later, her brother was attacked and killed by a dog. Luckily for her, a caring neighbor began looking out for her and leaving food. As time passed, it became apparent that little Daisy was just not doing well as an outside cat. Her fur lost it’s shine and Daisy began to get sick. Again the nice neighbors took her in, but unfortunately for her, by then she had contracted FeLV so the neighbors couldn’t keep her. Because there are not nearly enough FeLV rescues, many have a long waitlist. The neighbors were concerned Daisy wouldn’t survive outside in the hot summer so they expanded their search until they found us. The problem was that we were a 16 hour drive away! But the nice neighbors were willing to make that sacrifice for Daisy. And we very quickly understood why. Daisy is so worth it!!!! She is the most lovable little girl! She loves to snuggle with her people whenever she can, but she’s not overly Velcro either. She loves to play with her toys as well, but she’s also ok on her own through the day. She has the most adorable little chirp and will actually have an entire conversation with you, although we admit, sometimes it’s hard to understand what she’s saying. She also has impeccable litter habits and will actually wipe her little paws off before walking away from the litter box. In summary, Daisy is perfect! Like all our cats, Daisy is FeLV positive. If you’d like more information on what that means, feel free to call us at 301.703.1674 or email FureverHomeMD@gmail.com.October 25, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Meet Square! Square is a large boy, but not obese. He needs the bigger frame to carry around all the love. And he has the most smoochable little pink nose! He’s a confident, curious boy who likes to snuggle but isn’t overwhelming about it. He’s a gentle giant. He’s obviously had a tough life because he does shrink away if you come at his face too quickly, but once he trusts you, he loves to be stroked and petted. At four years old, he’s that perfect age when he still has a playful side, but he also enjoys a good nap. He has perfect kitty litter etiquette and doesn’t scratch up furniture. He does well alone or with other cats. He’s perfect for a new cat owner since he’s just so easy to have around. He’s extremely adaptable and will do well in most households as long as there is at least one window that allows a sunbeam to come through. Like all Furever Home cats, Square is FeLV positive. Therefor he can not live in a house hold with a FeLV negative cat. If you’re not familiar with FeLV, feel free to reach out to us for more info.
