Story
Isla is a lovely ginger colored British Shorthair. She is shy but every day gets a little bolder and more outgoing. Isla requires a quiet home with a patient adopter who will give her the time and support she needs to come out of her shell. Isla will also need to be adopted into a home with another friendly kitty to help give her confidence and companionship. This kitty is part of a large group that were rescued from poor conditions and have required vet care over and above the norm. The adoption fee is $250 per cat plus $250 tax-deductible donation per cat that will be used towards veterinary care for their group. If you are viewing on Petfinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this kitten, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue must be indoor only and may not be declawed unless already declawed at the time of rescue.

Story
We rarely see a silver British Shorthair and Petra is fabulous. Petra was abandoned in Kuwait and is best as an only cat. She will coexist with another cat but will likely not bond. Petra is very loving but will take time to trust again. Petra is estimated to be about 4 years old. Our Kuwait kitties cost more because of their transport. * Our kitties are: Spayed/neutered (or provided a spay/neuter voucher for kittens too small for surgery), tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids, up-to-date on vaccines (rabies vaccine when age appropriate and distemper series), treated for parasites, and have microchips. Tiny kittens go in pairs unless there's a companion animal already in the household. Our adoption fees are low. Most are $150 although some very desirable kitties may be more. For a pair, we reduce the adoption fee slightly.February 23, 2025, 11:22 am

Story
Sweet Tara is a British Shorthair from Kuwait. She is a beautiful, one year old, with classic tabby markings (gold swirls). She is loving and outgoing and gets along well with other kitties. Our Kuwait kitties are higher priced because of their pedigree and cost of transportation. Story
Luna is a very energetic furrball who loves to play! She was given to us by a family friend around May of 2023. Shes one years old and shell soon be two in March! We are hoping she goes off to someone who is patient enough to wait for her to trust you; as she can struggle with new people. She does well when alone at home but she also needs lots of playtime.

Story
Cookie was rescued from the shelter in July 2023 as a 2 month old kitten. She has since become the most cuddly and loving cat you’ll ever meet! She loves snuggles and always cutely meows when she hears her name. She will run up to you everyday when you come home and make sure to cuddle up right next to you whenever she can. She is truly the sweetest cat!

Story
I've had my cat for 11 years (he is about 12 years old). He is the sweetest and most gentle boy. He is very food motivated and loves to eat and then snuggle and sleep. He was introduced to my other pet about 3 years ago (male chihuahua) and they have been getting along well even snuggling together. I would say Zappa gets along well with other animals, but he is a senior cat and has less energy for playing. I have made a difficult decision to re-home Zappa, since I'm not able to keep two pets anymore in my current and future living situations. I know that by rehoming Zappa, he will continue having the best life. Ideally, I would like for him to be re-homed to a single pet household, where he can get all of the attention. Included with adoption: cat carrier, litter box, food, toys, grooming accessories.
