Story
Lucie is a beautiful, sassy lady. She will walk up to new people right away, but is a little slow to warm when it comes to being pet and snuggling next to you. She is very smart and knows when you aren’t feeling well, and even comes running to see if you’re okay. Lucie currently lives with other cats and although she sometimes plays, she prefers to be alone. That being said, she does enjoy being in the center of a busy room to just observe. She might be able to coexist with another cat as long as they can stand up for themselves. Lucie became extremely unhappy when her family had a tiny human. She does not enjoy children’s curiosities and lack of boundaries. In Lucie’s ideal home, she would be queen bee. If you give her some hair ties, she will probably love you forever! Especially if there’s a sunbeam to lay in when she’s done playing! Born in March 2017. This is a courtesy post. Please direct inquiries to the owner @   jade.beazley@gmail.com Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Serena is a such a sweet girl but is more shy than her brother, Titus. She does not like loud noises. she is a little over a year old. It takes a while for her to get used to new people. She will try to hide under the bed or couch, but once you build a pattern of feeding her food and treats, she will start getting used to you. Serena isn’t as food motivated, but she likes treats (Churu). Once she is used to you, she will give you light head butts letting you know she wants to be pet and have her chin rubbed (her favorite spot). She does not liked to be picked up or kissed much. She isn’t as vocal as Titus, but when she’s hungry, she will let you know.

Story
Duchess' Story: Duchess was dumped when her previous owners discovered she was pregnant. She lived on the streets for 3 years but somehow kept her sweet nature. She delivered that 1st litter two years ago and two more in 2024 (February & August). We were able to trap/rehab the February litter so they could be adopted, and the summer litter was born in-house. Our intent was to keep Duchess and give her a good home. She certainly deserves it. However, as a result of her time on the streets, she does not do well with dogs, and we have two. Duchess has a rear leg that has been broken at some point in her life and it has healed but was never properly set. She has a limp but has adjusted and does well. She is healthy, social and very loving. The last of her babies have been adopted and she just needs a hero with a home where she'll be loved and cared for. Won't you consider being her hero?

Story
Oscar is a really great cat, he is just young. He requires a lot of attention and playtime and I cannot provide that for him at this time. He gets along great with our 2 year old cat & 4 year old dog (he has been around them since he was about a month old). Oscar is a very vocal cat who loves food and cuddles. We have a 1 year old who does come around him and pets him sometimes, he’s cool with it as long as his hair and tail doesn’t get tugged on. Oscar needs to go to a really good, loving, attentive home that will give him the best life possible. He really deserves it.

Story
Mazey is a 6 year old (born late 2018) all black female cat. She lives with 2 dogs and four humans and is 100% indoors. She likes to snuggle on the laps in the evening and loves her hinney scratched. She is also a big fan of those wire brushes gently gliding over her back and head. She is not a fan of getting her nails clipped and can get over stimulated when loved on too much. We have a couple of members of our family that are allergic to cats with one of them being a new allergy. We are looking to find her a new home where she can lay in the sun during the day and get love at night.
