Story
I rescued from the streets of Kuwait on a very hot day. Soon after I was rescued my foster found out I was pregnant. I was able to deliver my kittens in safe cool home while getting plenty of food. Once I and my kittens were medically cleared we were able to be sponsored to travel to the US. I'm very sweet and love attention. I'm looking for a second chance at a forever home.

Story
Coco is a sweet and beautiful Scottish Straight cat. Her mom is a Scottish Fold and dad is a British shorthair. She’s petite and very loving-born on Valentines Day-but is not an overly clingy cat. She gets along with my other cats and our two dogs, though I would prefer her to go to a home without dogs since it would make an easier transition for her. She’s a strictly indoor cat that has been fed only high quality foods. Unfortunately due to unexpected and serious illness, I have to rehome a couple of my cats, to make my life easier. She’s a very special cat and I would keep her if I could.

Story
Mowgli has been waiting for a new home over a year now. He has a very unique personality! Mowgli is a very special and stunning boy! He was found in the San Bernardino Mountains 5 years ago when he showed up at someone's house skinny and wandering for weeks and then was adopted by a wonderful lady. Unfortunately, she cannot physically care for him anymore and he is looking for a new forever home. Mowgli is around 6 years old, 13 lbs., neutered, up to date on shots and micro chipped. We believe he is a British Shorthair/American Shorthair breed. He would do best as an only cat and only animal in the house. Because of his unique characteristics, he would also need a home with no kids. Mowgli is very sweet, playful, vocal, loves to be brushed and is an affectionate cat, but has a dominant side when he wants something or is done with attention. He tends to give love bites and scratches when he’s had enough. He feels bad afterward and is always trying to improve. He seems to be happiest when he is able to go outside in the yard. So being an inside/outside cat would make him happy as long as he is safe. He also has gone on walks on a leash. He is territorial and has gotten is some cat fights and is very strong. But please don’t let this scare you away. He wants to please, but in his way. Mowgli really is an amazing cat! Mowgli needs someone who understands cats, is experienced and patient. If this is you, please fill out our MHS Feline Adoption Application on our website.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. The average lifespan of a cat is 13 to 20 years. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! A friend who lives in the Highland Park neighborhood contacted us about a situation in her apartment complex (in an area with lots of coyotes). She told us about a neighbor who had been feeding some cats and didn't have time to get them spayed. We offered to help but it was too late - at least one had already given birth. A few weeks later we were told that the neighbor that was feeding all the feral cats in the complex just moved and left them. So that's how little PINKY ended up with us. Now PINKY is ready for her FUREVER home. Meet PINKY, a graceful adult Bombay cat from Highland Park, California, whose sleek black coat and mesmerizing eyes give her an air of quiet elegance. This shy yet loving girl knows exactly what she wants in life—a serene home where she can reign as queen and enjoy the finer things, like soft laps and cozy cuddles. PINKY has a heart full of affection, but she prefers to show it on her terms. She’s a little reserved at first, but with patience and love, she blossoms into a devoted companion who adores attention. She’s happiest when she’s perched on your lap, soaking up gentle pets and purring softly in contentment. When it comes to food, PINKY has a discerning palate—she’s a true fan of canned meals, and her mealtime rituals are sure to add a touch of elegance to your day. Her playful side is equally refined; she enjoys entertaining herself with toys and games, gracefully pouncing and batting in her own little world. As a queen, PINKY prefers to rule her castle solo, so she’s looking for a home where she can be the star of the show. Her ideal family will understand her independent spirit and give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a quiet, affectionate companion who brings warmth and serenity into your life, PINKY is ready to steal your heart. Could this regal Bombay beauty be the one to complete your family? Apply online to meet PINKY and let the magic begin! PINKY is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. She is about 4 years an 1 month old. She will do best in a quiet home as an only cat. She has never been around dogs. PINKY is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. It became a hematoma. So her little ear is a bit deformed and floppy. She's a medium sized cat...a little on the chubby side. She's got the cutest little meow. Cutest black toe beans! Solid black shiny coat. BARONESS is a bit shy. In a home with a very friendly cat or dog she will flourish. She will also be fine by herself. She loves to play. Likes pets. She has never had a home and honestly we believe she is very deserving of one! BARONESS is an AMERICAN SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX. She is 3 years old and is good with cats. Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! ABEL and KANE were saved from the shelter. They were unsocial and sick. Now he is ready to be adopted. Meet ABEL a shy American Short Hair Bombay Mix from San Jacinto, California whose essence is a delicate blend of timidity and charm wrapped in a sleek gray coat. ABEL is a shy and reserved fellow, preferring to take his time to get comfortable in new surroundings. He often finds solace in quiet corners, where he can observe his environment from a safe distance. But don't let his initial reticence fool you – beneath that reserved exterior lies a heart full of warmth and curiosity, just waiting for the right moment to shine. One of ABEL's favorite pastimes is watching TV. He is particularly fond of nature documentaries, where he can watch the graceful movements of other animals, or sometimes he enjoys the occasional animated film. There's something soothing about the flickering screen that captures his attention, providing hours of quiet entertainment. ABEL also has a special relationship with his cat tree. This towering structure of feline delight is his sanctuary, a place where he can climb, scratch, and perch to his heart's content. Whether he's napping in one of its cozy cubbies or surveying his domain from the highest platform, ABEL's cat tree is his happy place, offering both comfort and adventure in equal measure. Though ABEL may seem aloof at first, he has a unique way of showing affection once he feels secure. He might nuzzle your hand or softly purr as he curls up beside you. His gentle nature and calm demeanor make him an ideal companion for a patient and understanding family who appreciates the quiet joys of life. ABEL is best suited to a peaceful home where he can settle in at his own pace. He would thrive in an environment without too much hustle and bustle, perhaps with a few sunny spots to lounge in and, of course, a dedicated TV time for his favorite shows. His ideal family will understand that good things come to those who wait and will cherish the special bond that forms with a cat like Abel. Are you ready to give Abel the loving home he deserves and share in the quiet, heartwarming moments of companionship he offers? If so, can't wait to meet you and start this new chapter of his life together. Reach out to us to make ABEL part of your family today. ********************* ABEL IS AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER TO ADOPT ********************* ABEL is an AMERICAN SHORT HAIR / BOMBAY MIX.
