Esmerelda didn’t have the easiest start in life—she came to rescue as a puppy from a home where she lived in a basement with several other dogs. Since then, she has absolutely blossomed. In her foster home, Esmerelda has made huge strides and is showing just how wonderful she can be with patience, structure, and love.She’s been doing great with training and is eager to learn, especially when treats and praise are involved. Esmerelda is friendly with kids and gets along well with other animals. As a young pup, she can still be a bit enthusiastic and plays on the rough-and-tumble side, so she’ll do best with continued training and gentle guidance to help her polish her manners.Esmerelda is a resilient, affectionate, and playful girl who’s ready for a forever home that will keep building on the progress she’s made.
