Story
Hi!  My name is Nelson and I am looking for a forever home.  My previous owners decided to get some chickens and guess what, I liked to chase them and unfortunately was actually able to catch a few so my owners decided I had to go.  They contacted a small local rescue who took me in and then contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes!  I am around 3-4years old and am a stocky boy at around 40lbs (my foster mom says maybe just a little too stocky so has me on a diet which is really sad 'cause I love food and treats which I will even sit for if you ask).  I am an energetic boy who loves to go on adventures with my people and am good on leash so that will help me lose a pound or two and get to be with you at the same time as I love people ... win-win!  I have gotten along with all of the other medium-larger size dogs I have met; however, I've shown way too much interest in the cats and foster mom says a home without them will be needed for me.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding although I would really, really prefer to be out with you.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! We can already tell that you’ll fall in love with Mirabel! Meet Mirabel, a precious 1-year-old Boykin Spaniel/Pointer mix rescued from Vidalia, Georgia. She weighs 36 pounds and has the most gorgeous brown coat of fur. Mirabel is a very sweet girl with the most loveable eyes. She walks well on a leash and listens to commands. She’s an energetic dog who would benefit from daily walks or even a big backyard where she can run and play. She’d really enjoy swimming and loves water. She adores getting attention from humans and playing fetch with her friends. Mirabel would do well in any sized home with other canine friends and kids who can play with her and have fun. She is so excited to be the best adventure companion and can’t wait to join her forever family. She hopes it will be soon, and she hopes it will be you!
