Story
Penny is a 19 month old Brittany/Hound mix. She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative and on preventative.  She minds her foster mom really well and has great recall. Penny knows the command sit and is working on stay. She is not very vocal and does not bark much. She loves running in the yard and is good with other dogs. Penny loves her toys and she also loves treats. Penny is a very healthy girl. Penny's foster mom says she is not destructive and loves to lounge in her dog bed. Because she gets overly excited, Penny jumps on people, but her foster mom is working with her.  Because of her jumping, Penny will not be a good fit for a home with small children.  Penny is being fostered in Tennessee. Her adoption fee is $325.00 and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad with the adopter taking the last leg, usually less than 100 miles.  Applications for Penny can be found on www.nbran.org.  For more information, email dltuthill@epbfi.com or ztasuzanne@gmail.com.  November 4, 2024, 9:17 pm

Meet the James Gang: Puppies Full of Love and Adventure! Howdy, folks! We’re the James Gang, a pack of adorable 4-month-old baby boys ready to steal your heart (and maybe your socks!). While our brother Carter has already found his forever home, Franklin, Jesse, and Regan are still searching for loving families to call their own. Here’s the Lowdown on Each Gang Member: Franklin James: The fearless leader! Franklin is always first out of the kennel, ready to explore the world and lead his brothers on their next adventure. Jesse James: The loyal follower! Jesse loves being part of the pack, soaking up all the fun and cuddles along the way. Regan James: The playful mischief-maker! Regan loves nothing more than running around with a toy, daring his brothers to chase him—and trust us, he’s fast! These boys are full of puppy energy, love, and curiosity. Whether it’s a game of tug, a good cuddle, or exploring their surroundings, they’re ready to bring joy and laughter to your home. If you’re looking for a darling companion to join your family, one of these James Gang pups might just be your perfect match! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 The adoption fee for OK/Franklin James, who lives in Tulsa, OK  is $575 ($500 adoption fee plus a $75  refundable spay/neuter deposit upon verification of spay/neuter),  which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making Franklin part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Contact the South Central Region Coordinators Chris Wagoner at cwnbran@gmail.com , Melinde Waddle at macgammy@gmail.com ,and/or Nancy Walker at nwalker@capecod.net  and then let your state coordinator know so you can get the ball rolling.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process by your state coordinator, before talking to the foster of Franklin.  Transportation can be arranged up to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible fDecember 24, 2024, 4:14 pm

Story
Meet Fin, a 10 month old orange & white Brittany mix. Fin has the French Brittany black nose, with a short snout & long legs. Did I mention the cutest & fluffiest long tail! Fin was found abandoned out on the streets with his mother. They were saved and NBRAN was called. They sure are lucky! Fin loves everyone he meets & loves his foster brother, who is another Brittany. Fin is very kind, friendly, sweet and gentle, never playing too hard or rough. He is a bit nervous of new environments and noises at first, but bounces back quickly and loves learning. Fin is dog & child friendly but because he is still young & jumps, older kids would be best. He has done great with a 5 year old.  He hasn't met a cat, so unsure how he would do with one. Fin is crate trained and actually goes in without asking when he sees treats or his food come out. Fin also waits to be released from his crate with the “ok” cue. He is potty trained & can go about 6 hours now without needing a break. Fin knows sit and is working on walking nicely on the leash. He is just a puppy and will need continued training to still learn his manners. He is so sweet and silly and he is always making everyone laugh. Fin is healthy, neutered & up to date on all vaccinations & weighs about 32lbs. If you think he’s your perfect forever boy, please submit an adoption application at www.nbran.org and mention his name. He’s currently located in NC and can be transported up to 1400 miles, with the adopter driving the last 100 or so miles.  The adoption fee is $350 to help cover his vetting and to help NBRAN continue to rescue pups like him!  For any further questions, please email kecarr72@icloud.com or  jessica@thesouthernway.comDecember 29, 2024, 12:19 pm
