Story
Meet Peaches (formerly known as Gumball) Peaches was found as a stray in Georgia and ended up at the kill shelter for a short time. She was luckily brought to Cedarburg, Wisconsin with Mutt Life Dog Rescue on 10/26/24 and has been in a foster home since then. She is a super sweet and energetic little lady! She is smart and knows how to sit and is very willing to learn more. She loves her foster dog siblings and likes to play and snuggle with them. She is also super sweet with her humans and likes to just follow you around or snuggle on the couch. She would be a good adventure dog for someone who likes hiking or camping. She is a petite lady at only 35 lbs and fits perfectly for car rides or taking naps on the couch. She was recently adopted and was chasing the cats in the house so it did not work out for her. She loves to play and the cats did not want to play with her. From now on we will try to find her a cat free home. Peaches has been looking for an adopter since our October transport and we cannot believe it since she is so sweet and friendly. Thank you for considering adopting from Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. We are a foster-based rescue in South Eastern Wisconsin. We partner with several high-kill shelters in rural Georgia to support dogs in desperate need of help. Our mission is to give these animals a second chance at life and the loving families they deserve. By rescuing them from shelters, we not only save their lives but also open up space for other animals in need, helping to reduce the heartbreaking number of pets that face euthanasia. Together, we can make a difference in their lives and offer them hope for a brighter future. All dogs come with a certified vet inspection, up-to-date vaccines, flea/tick, and heart-worm preventatives. We cover partial reimbursement for spay/neuter costs if they have not already been fixed. To apply to adopt, please fill out an adoption application on our website at (www.muttlife.org) and review the adoption requirements to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply! Here is a summary of our adoption process: 1. Apply: Fill out the adoption application on our website completely and submit all necessary documents. 2. Application processing: we do a thorough background check, landlord approval (if applicable) or home ownership verification, vet check, and review your application. This process can take up to 5 business days. 3. Please authorize your vet to release medical information with Mutt Life. 4. Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 5. Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 6. Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 7. Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 8. Neuter/spay for puppies: if dogs are adopted before 6 months of age and are not neutered/spayed yet, we will work with you to coordinate an appointment with one of our veterinary clinic partners or you can go through your vet and we will give you a partial adoption fee reimbursement. Check out our website for more information on FOSTERING, VOLUNTEERING, or DONATING! www.muttlife.org

Story
Meet this incredible survivor! Found in Tipton County, this sweet boy was skin and bones, hairless, and overlooked by so many. We couldn’t leave him behind, and he’s come so far—from 17 to 36 lbs! With love, warmth, and plenty of food, his personality has blossomed. He adores other dogs, all people, his crate, and especially toys and sweaters. He’s house-trained, food-motivated, and ready for his forever home. Could it be with you? Once adopted he will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make this cutie part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 11/17/24 Dog Name: Peter Sex: Male Neuter Status: Neutered Estimated Breed Mix: Boxer Mix Approximate Age: 1.5 Years Approximate Weight: 56 lbs Adoption Fee: $300 Description: Hi! They call me Peter and I am looking for my furever home! I am quite quiet, but when I do talk, it is to respond to my very favorite question - 'Do you want to go outside?' I love going for walks and looking at all there is to see. Sometimes it is a bird or a cat or even deer. Then the next time I get to go out, I will be on the lookout for them. I enjoy stretching my legs by going for walks and runs. I am housebroken and crate-trained. I like to chew on and fetch a braided rope and squeaky toys. Bones are fun too as long as there is something yummy in them. I sit for my supper and when you hook the leash onto my harness. I take treats nicely and I don't react to the doorbell. I like other dogs and as long as you are watching me, I am fine with an easy tempered cat. I am a people lover! Once I warm up to a new person, I will be your sidekick, couch snuggler, and foot warmer if you let me on your bed. Who wouldn't want that? This sweet boy is playful and loves affection! I am searching for my family! Could that be with you?        We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. March 2, 2025, 10:54 pm
