Story
Sweet Cora is an alumni of NLOL from many years ago when she was young—but now she is about 7 years old and has lost her vision. She was not doing well with the younger kids in her home and they felt a calmer home would be better for her. Other than being blind, we are not aware of any health issues. She is about 40 lbs and of course it is hard for her to learn her new surroundings, so a family who will help her navigate her new environment with patience is necessary. A fenced yard is also required. She would love a calm home and can do well with calmer, smaller dogs, but since she cannot see other dogs, that can sometimes be scary for her. She is about 40 lbs. She loves to snuggle and is completely housebroke in her foster home. Her vaccines were all updated and she had an updated heartworm test, and she is good to go. Her adoption fee is partially sponsored at $100. If you are interested and don't have an application on file, please go to our website and fill out an application. www.newleashdogrescue.com. Story
Hello! My name is Sebastian I'm a 6 year old boxer mix with unique brindle markings and I weigh roughly 50 lbs but I am around knee-height. I am VERY intelligent, obedient, and loyal once I get to know you. I know commands such as Sit, Stay, Lay Down, Come, Leave it, No, and Slow Down (when taking walks). I usually don't have to be told more than once as I take to listening extremely well. I am potty trained and kennel trained and I willingly like to lay in there even with the door open as it's my little space. Squeaky toys and bones to chew on are my favorites and don't even get me started on how much I love taking walks. I am amazing on my leash. I am very quiet and mellow and I love to lay down by your feet to be near you. I am friendly with kids and other dogs and cats and I aim to make friends with whoever I meet. I love snuggling up under blankets as well! I am up to date on my vaccinations and I am neutered as well. I am ready to find my forever home and to show you what all the love I can! If you want to adopt me, head over to www.lastpawrescue.org and search for me, Sebastian! My adoption fee is $200 and I'm being fostered in Birnamwood, WI.

Story
Murphy has been waiting for his forever family for over 8 months, and he's ready to bring joy and love to someone special. He’s a total love bug who thrives on affection, especially when it comes to ear scratches! Playful and full of energy, Murphy loves fetch, tug-of-war, and is always respectful of his plush toys—he gently nibbles them just to hear the squeaker. A foodie at heart, Murphy enjoys any treat, with a special fondness for sweet potato dried dog treats. He also enjoys playing with puzzle toys and is eager to learn new games and tricks. Every day, he loves to bring you his favorite toy of the moment and share his goofy, charming personality. Murphy is dreaming of a home where he can enjoy sunset walks in the prairie, cozy movie nights, and plenty of praise and cuddles. His ideal family will embrace his playful nature, teach him new tricks, and proudly show him off to friends—Murphy loves being the center of attention! If you’re ready to add a fun-loving, affectionate companion to your family, fill out an adoption application for Murphy at HSNEI.org today!

Story
Introducing: sweet Mr. Charlie (formerly known as Pansy)! This handsome little guy had quite a rough beginning to life…as he was diagnosed with parvo at 7 weeks old. He was hospitalized for over 2 weeks, and in those 2 weeks he showed his true strength and resilience…as a fight for his life he undoubtedly had! Charlie was heavily medicated, tube fed, and monitored by the hour. When he was stable enough to be released from emergency care, his current foster family took him in in-order to keep him separated from his siblings. Fast-forward to today, and Charlie is healthy, happy, strong, and thriving! His care costs were expensive…but you can’t put a price tag on a precious little life. And for Charlie’s life we are SO thankful! Born on 1/1/24 (a New Year’s baby! ) to mama Rosie, Charlie (male) is now over 5 months old. He weighs-in right around 30lbs; our best guess is that fully grown he’ll reach 60-65lbs. Charlie (with all of his cuteness ) is SUCH a lovable little guy! He has lots of energy, loves to give out kisses, and gets along so well with other dogs + humans of any/all ages! He is kennel-trained, usually sleeps through the entire night, knows how to sit, shake, high five, and lay down! As a bonus, he is highly food/treat motivated AND extremely smart! He is bell-trained and will hit the bell hanging at the door when he needs to be let out to potty. Because Charlie’s stomach continues to heal from the toll his illness took on his body, he does tend to have some digestive issues. This may/may not continue for the extent of this sweet boy’s life (good veterinary care will need to be established by his adopters ), but as of right now he’s on a special kibble diet that has proven to be beneficial for his tummy troubles. He would love a family who can exercise him regularly (he’s an active, energetic guy!), and — although not a requirement — would especially love a fenced-in yard to run and play in. He most loves being outside and sunbathing in the backyard! Charlie is being fostered with children ages 6 and 9, and has been around kiddos as young as 5. He loves them all! Though as with any pup, young kids should be taught respect + proper puppy boundaries! As of right now, it is unknown how he’d do with kitties. Charlie loves to play, loves snuggling up in cozy blankies, and just loves being loved. He is such a sweet boy…and a survivor. He will make a wonderfully loving addition to a family he’s able to call his own. Apply now + reach out via private message…just ask for Charlie! APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!)  **Charlie’s $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, and microchip. ##1970301##

Story
Apollo is a stunning pittie mix who is looking for a home to call his own. He is about 5 months old and about 30 lbs. He is doing very well with kennel training and housebreaking. He loves to play with other dogs. He has been fine with his limited interactions with cats. He does pretty good with kids, but needs to be supervised because he still puppy "bites" and can be a little rambunctious. He is a snuggle bug.   His $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip and vaccines to date.
