Story
Sweet Cora is an alumni of NLOL from many years ago when she was young—but now she is about 7 years old and has lost her vision. She was not doing well with the younger kids in her home and they felt a calmer home would be better for her. Other than being blind, we are not aware of any health issues. She is about 40 lbs and of course it is hard for her to learn her new surroundings, so a family who will help her navigate her new environment with patience is necessary. A fenced yard is also required. She would love a calm home and can do well with calmer, smaller dogs, but since she cannot see other dogs, that can sometimes be scary for her. She is about 40 lbs. She loves to snuggle and is completely housebroke in her foster home. Her vaccines were all updated and she had an updated heartworm test, and she is good to go. Her adoption fee is partially sponsored at $100. If you are interested and don't have an application on file, please go to our website and fill out an application. www.newleashdogrescue.com. Story
This handsome guy is Pablo. He came into the NLOL family a couple months ago and is in need of a new foster (or furever) home ASAP. Pablo is thought to be a boxer mix who’s just over a year old and around 40lbs.  He was found on the streets of Texas and brought into the shelter where he was listed as at risk just before coming to us. He’s a happy playful boy but he is young and higher energy so he will benefit greatly from exercise, a consistent routine, and basic manner training. He’s expected to be good with all humans and dogs but Cats are unknown. Due to his age and energy level supervision with young children will be required as he may knock them over with excitement. Pablo was recently neutered and is working through having some accidents but consistency and exercise (both for the body and mind ) should help with this. He’s also crate trained and even enjoys going in on his own to chew on his toys.    If you can foster, or are interested in adopting, Pablo (and are preapproved) you can private message us or APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com **Pablo’s $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, heart work check, current vet check, and microchip. ##2288149##

She embodies affection, warmth, and companionship. When she settles into her crate, she remains mostly calm and satisfied, especially when provided with a chew bone. Rosie enjoys engaging with her foster siblings and would be an excellent companion for running or hiking, given her athletic build and agility. Although her past has been challenging, since arriving in Wisconsin, she has gained a significant amount of weight and is learning that food and water will always be available to her. This gentle soul possesses a remarkable capacity for forgiveness, exemplifying the resilience of dogs.

Story
Introducing: sweet Mr. Charlie (formerly known as Pansy)! This handsome little guy had quite a rough beginning to life…as he was diagnosed with parvo at 7 weeks old. He was hospitalized for over 2 weeks, and in those 2 weeks he showed his true strength and resilience…as a fight for his life he undoubtedly had! Charlie was heavily medicated, tube fed, and monitored by the hour. When he was stable enough to be released from emergency care, his current foster family took him in in-order to keep him separated from his siblings. Fast-forward to today, and Charlie is healthy, happy, strong, and thriving! His care costs were expensive…but you can’t put a price tag on a precious little life. And for Charlie’s life we are SO thankful! Born on 1/1/24 (a New Year’s baby! ) to mama Rosie, Charlie (male) is now over 5 months old. He weighs-in right around 30lbs; our best guess is that fully grown he’ll reach 60-65lbs. Charlie (with all of his cuteness ) is SUCH a lovable little guy! He has lots of energy, loves to give out kisses, and gets along so well with other dogs + humans of any/all ages! He is kennel-trained, usually sleeps through the entire night, knows how to sit, shake, high five, and lay down! As a bonus, he is highly food/treat motivated AND extremely smart! He is bell-trained and will hit the bell hanging at the door when he needs to be let out to potty. Because Charlie’s stomach continues to heal from the toll his illness took on his body, he does tend to have some digestive issues. This may/may not continue for the extent of this sweet boy’s life (good veterinary care will need to be established by his adopters ), but as of right now he’s on a special kibble diet that has proven to be beneficial for his tummy troubles. He would love a family who can exercise him regularly (he’s an active, energetic guy!), and — although not a requirement — would especially love a fenced-in yard to run and play in. He most loves being outside and sunbathing in the backyard! Charlie is being fostered with children ages 6 and 9, and has been around kiddos as young as 5. He loves them all! Though as with any pup, young kids should be taught respect + proper puppy boundaries! As of right now, it is unknown how he’d do with kitties. Charlie loves to play, loves snuggling up in cozy blankies, and just loves being loved. He is such a sweet boy…and a survivor. He will make a wonderfully loving addition to a family he’s able to call his own. Apply now + reach out via private message…just ask for Charlie! APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!)  **Charlie’s $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccines to date, and microchip. ##1970301##

Apollo is a stunning pittie mix who is looking for a home to call his own. He is about 5 months old and about 30 lbs. He is doing very well with kennel training and housebreaking. He loves to play with other dogs. He has been fine with his limited interactions with cats. He does pretty good with kids, but needs to be supervised because he still puppy "bites" and can be a little rambunctious. He is a snuggle bug.   His $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip and vaccines to date. If you are interested, please fill out an application on our website. www.newleashdogrescue.com.   ##2248278##
