Story
Gumball unfortunately found herself at a high kill shelter in Georgia through no fault of her own. She was brought up from Georgia to Wisconsin on 10/26 with Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin and is settling into her foster home. She is a silly, playful pup who loves other dogs and her people. She enjoys running around the yard, playing with toys, and going for walks with her foster family. She did great trick-or-treating with her foster family and was amazing with all the kids and commotion. She also gets along with cats. She is crate trained, working on potty training, good on the leash, and working on off-leash recall. She is not reactive over toys, treats, food, etc. She is just an overall good girly who would be great for someone looking for an active dog! We don't think she will be very big since she is only 20 lbs at 6 months old. f you are interested in adopting, please check out our website and fill out an application: www.muttlife.org We are located out of Cedarburg, Wisconsin and adopt out dogs throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states. Adoption fees for all dogs are $500. Please check out our website for more on our adoption process, to apply to foster or volunteer!

Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!Updated: 11/17/24 Dog Name: Peter Sex: Male Estimated Breed Mix: Boxer Mix Approximate Age: 1.5 Years Approximate Weight: 56 lbs Adoption Fee: $450 Description: Peter is a sweet boy who was owned by a family who travels a lot, unfortunately they never came for him, and he was an inside dog. I have a beautiful mixed brown coat with white socks and an off-centered stripe on my face. I don't talk much but I might whine for a bit if you leave and don't take me along, I don't want to be left behind again! I am quite content playing on my own and will play a bit with a squeaky toy or a bone. I will fetch, but I do get bored rather quickly.  I am eager to please and will put myself in a timeout if you tell me I'm naughty for, well, for doing something I guess I shouldn't have done. I take treats nicely and am learning to sit and wait for my meals. I like other dogs but am 50/50 on cats. They are quite interesting. I love to go outside and go for walks. I am always on the lookout for deer. This sweet boy is playful and loves affection! I am searching for my family! Could that be with you?        We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. November 17, 2024, 9:16 pm

Story
Check out our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more pictures & videos of our adoptable dogs!  Updated: 10/25/2024 Dog Name: Griffin Sex: Male Litter: GJ Litter Estimated Breed Mix: Boxer Mix  Approximate Age: 7 months old Approximate Weight: 58 lbs. Description: Trooper (originally his name was Griffin) first came to Wisconsin as an ~8 week old puppy. He was adopted quickly, but is now being surrendered back to the rescue. His adopter feels that they aren't the right match for each other, as he doesn't seem to enjoy things that she does, like camping.   Trooper loves people, kids, and cats. He is a very playful boy who will even play with the cat! He loves tug-of-war, fetch, and to chase his tail. He's still a puppy, so he's still got puppy energy. At times he can be a couch potato who loves to cuddle too. He's a food motivated boy, which should help his next adopter when continuing his training.  Thus far in his training, he knows sit, down, leave it, off, stay, walk, and heel. He's also housebroken.   The first picture is of him today, the others are of him as a puppy and his parents. Story
Do you want a house pig but your pesky city says no barnyard animals? Alfie says boooo, but also, he is an excellent alternative. This big fella will happily bask in the sun, root around for favorite treats and snore like the best fake house pig around! All the neighbors will be jealous! Neener neener neighbors. Alfie is an 12 month old, 95 pound neutered boxer/pitbull mix. He's potty trained, crate trained and just a nice boy. He's built like a wrecking ball, so sturdy kids for this guy, really just sturdy humans for him, you read he's a big dog, right? Alfie's not going to be a marathon runner, but he'll happily marathon hike. He's just going to need a minute to rest, find the guy a good patch of shade! Alfie is living with dogs, kids and cats. He will chase the cats if they run, so if your cats aren't down for that kind of attention, maybe he's not the dog for your cat. Alfie will do best with a family who loves education and structure. He's a lovely dog who learns so quickly, harness that genius and the sky is the limit. Previous giant bully experience preferred. Apply today to meet the new star of your household. We should be clear, he's not actually a house pig, he's just good at pretending. Alfie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and move in ready.

Story
Meet Freya- she'll be ready to go to her forever home on November 23rd when she turns 8 weeks old. She has a beautiful coat perfect for Wisconsin winters; she is very confident and loves to explore. Freya and her littermates were surrendered to an Alabama shelter and so we do not have history on their parents, but we think they look like boxer Australian shepherd mixes and we anticipate them to be medium sized dogs. Rey of Hope Rescue is a locally based dog & cat rescue in Milwaukee serving all of SE Wisconsin. We are passionate about helping you find the best pet match for your home. WI License # DS-536355
