I am searching high and low for a forever family that has a strong leader that will show me the ropes. I need to do my research about people and new situations, survey the land so to speak. I also really love to play with the other dogs, just one at a time though as multiple dogs at once tend to make me a little nervous. I think I may offer my services to the rescue for a fundraiser. Kissing is my favorite thing to do, it is my love language. Doing zoomies in the back yard is my second favorite activity. When I wear out I have to drink some water and take a nap in my kennel, it is the life, a routine like this that involves napping, you can’t go wrong. I love my people, so when I can see you, even from my crate, I am very happy, I don’t care to be left alone. I am learning to enjoy the car rides, mostly because that way I am with my people. I am getting better all the time and have made great progress jumping in and out. I am very food motivated so it makes learning all the new things very easy like walking on a leash, and it is helping put on some healthy weight. My foster parents have me confused with a cat and have taught me to do my business in the gravel part of the back yard, it works though, I have nice grass to play in with their 4-year-old grandson. I am very gentle with everyone especially with kids and my toys, I really enjoy kids, but may need a little more sniff time with the new adults I meet. A quick sniff of your hand will help me trust you. I am a very happy and friendly gal, my little tail wiggles all the time and my face will light up any room. I am not sure about other dogs, so I need more time to get used to being around them, slow and calm setting introductions may help me make friends with others. Animal Profile: Latte is just about the cutest little boxer mix -- an estimated 18 months old and pocket sized at 36 lbs -- spayed female. She came from a home with 14 dogs on the property, someone who "saved a few dogs" and then let them breed. All the dogs have now been fixed thanks to our rescue partner and are headed to the PNW. Latte is very affectionate and loving. She loves attention. She plays well with other dogs of all sizes and was non-reactive to cats at the vet's office for her exam. We will share more info as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Update: Latte is such a sweet, friendly girl! She loves to play, go for walks, and spend time with her people. She is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and settles well in her crate during the day. She thinks all dogs are her best friend and would love another dog in her home to play with but will do best with a dog or dogs that can match her rough and tumble play style. She would also be just fine as an only dog where she can soak up all of her owners' attention.
