Rocky is a male 2.5 yrs old 60 lb Boxer/Retriever mix. He is last one in litter and is the BEST family dog ever!!!!!!   He is an energetic, affectionate lad that likes other dogs and pups.  He is a great companion for an active family with a secure fence, children over 6 years of age and another dog. Large breed experience is recommended.  He is an indoor dog.  He likes walks, car rides, toys, dog beds, human beds/couches.       L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with  rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or  https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other Rubble is a 6 mos old  (DOB 8 Feb 2023) 40 lb Boxer/Retriever mix.  He will be a medium to large dog as an adult.  Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old.  Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots).  Rubble is the sole survivor.  He will be special needs throughout his life.  He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans?  When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper.  He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides.  He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects.  He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap.  He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health.   He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family.  He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home.    No apartments.   Courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society. Meet Doc, one of a litter of six puppies that were abandoned at a construction site in La Paz, BCS, Mexico. Fortunately, Doc and his siblings were quickly rescued, and have thrived in their foster home with excellent care, growing into gorgeous, healthy young pups. Doc is kind of an independent little guy, but he does love cuddling with his humans. He plays hard with his sister, Oreo, but he is otherwise a pretty easy going little guy. HI - I'M BENJI, a sweet & gentle 4-year-old Boxer-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was initially rescued from a crowded California shelter, and later was attacked by another male dog at a boarding kennel. Despite my tough luck, I'm doing great and am no worse for wear. I've healed nicely and am ready for the next chapter of my life -- a home to call my own. I am very much a couch potato dog in that I love to lounge on the sofa or sleep on your bed. I am a huge snuggler! I have also done well with other dogs. I am quite affectionate, and love belly rubs. I am also an active, strong boy so I need a strong owner, and someone who can take me for walks, hikes and other outings. A big, fenced yard would be a plus, but is not a necessity. I weigh about 60 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
Chico is a great dog with lots of personality! He’s playful, affectionate, and loves chasing balls and being outside. Chico’s original owner neglected him and kept him tied up most of the time as a puppy. We took him in when his owner abandoned him in October 2024. He has since achieved a healthier weight and is good around other dogs and children. He’s a great dog and would do great with a human who dotes solely on him and takes him on hikes and plays fetch!
