Story
NEW FOSTER NEEDED FEB 22 Animal Profile: Paige is an estimated 3-year-old, 65 lb female Boxer Pitbull mix who was a stray intake at the Lancaster shelter in Los Angeles County. She was kenneled with another dog where she was very shut down and nervous. We pulled her from the euthanasia list and are getting to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Paige is a sweet dog with plenty of enthusiasm for life! She can be an only dog or part of a multiple dog household with proper introduction and structure -- she is not a fan of "puppy energy" in her space. She is a super sweet dog whois calm 90% of the time and very excited to see you the other 10%. She loves spending time with her people and does very well at dog friendly establishments like cafes and breweries! She loves to go on adventures with you and does great in the car. Paige would do best with someone who is able to spend lots of time with her at home (work from home is great) or take her places with them -- she does have separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone. Paige has excellent leash manners and does very well on walks. She  will need a secure yard and not to be out alone in it. She has a calm disposition and has done fine with the a dog-savvy resident cat. She has done great with the people in her foster home, including a dog-savvy pre-teen. She is potty trained and is using a large plastic travel crate that she feels secure in as it is only open in the front. If you are looking for an adventure dog who likes to chill when you are home, Paige is your gal! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fees benefit all the animals in our rescue, and may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the the high kill Lancaster animal shelter and transported to Seattle area foster care 9/22/24. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.February 10, 2025, 4:35 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Buddy is an estimated 6-year-old 80 lb male Boxer Bully mix who is social and friendly with people and dogs. He was surrendered to the rescue when his owner passed away and the family worked to find safe placement for him and another dog in the home. Shelters were full. A neighbor was feeding the dogs who were left for weeks with access to a yard thru a dog door. Buddy is grateful to be in foster care now, and has had a recent vet exam. He is in good health and finally neutered. We will share more about him as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Updates:  Buddy is a lovable, calm, low maintenance guy! When he arrived, he was a little chunky and not too active. We're a relatively active family and he's come to love our daily 2-mile walks. He really gets excited to go outside!  He's also starting to run around the backyard a little more now that he's slimmed down a little bit. That said, he's pretty chill and loves to cuddle. He's a solid 80lbs but thinks he's a lap dog. We’d recommend a family with mid-level activity. He's good on short hikes, daily walks, and moderate exercise, but we don't think he'd be a good running partner for hard-core athletes. He’s fully house trained and though not a huge fan of his crate, once he goes in he’s quiet and doesn’t bark or whine. Buddy loves car rides and is easy to take around in the car. He's content to stay in one place, especially if he has an open window. We think Buddy would be a good fit in a house with a yard or even a condo. He just needs a walk and some love & attention. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip with lifetime registration and a recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Buddy was picked up as a stray about 4 years ago in eastern WA and lived in a home until recently when his owner passed away. It took about six weeks for the the family to find rescue placement. Buddy is now in foster care in North Bend, and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. February 14, 2025, 7:39 pm

Story
Remi 1 year old Male Boxer-Shepherd Fostered in Beaverton, OR   Meet Remi, a big loving, and curious 1 yo boxer-shepherd with lots of fun puppy energy! He thrives on daily walks and absolutely loves playing in the water. His playful nature and adventurous spirit make him such a joy to be around.   Remi needs regular exercise like any young energetic pup and a spacious, fenced yard to explore. He’s housebroken, uses a doggy door, and is crate trained, though he prefers to roam free indoors and is a good boy. Providing him with plenty of chew toys is essential, as he loves to chew though!   Well-behaved and with basic obedience training, Remi gets along well with men, women, children, and other dogs. Remi is a bit fearful of new people due to his lack of socialization but he warms up quickly.    Remi would thrive with an active family who understands his fearful nature and can help him with his confidence through more training, regular safe social outings and patience while he blossoms into the best boy ever. We would love to see him find a forever home with an established confident older pup to help him feel safe. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion, Remi is ready to find his forever home. If you’re ready to meet your next buddy, consider submitting an application today. Bubbles 2 YO Female 55 Pounds Dog Friendly Leash Trained Fostered in Yelm, WA Hi, I'm Bubbles! If you are reading this, then I know you will want to meet me. I have yet to meet someone I haven't liked, I will show you how much with a big Boxer hug. I love car rides and snuggles, walks are nice too. I have been working very hard in my foster home to learn leash manners and all the things you look for in a well behaved young lady. I do love my foster brother, but sometimes I forget that I don’t have to guard my toys and foster mom from him. I just need gentle reminders and encouragement to know that its ok to share.  My foster brother and I have a lot of fun together,  we do zoomies in the yard every day and even around the house sometimes. My foster brother knows that I like to be the boss and he lets me, so it would be best if I have any siblings that they are more submissive because I like to be the girl in charge. I am not aggressive or possessive over my food, my foster brother and I eat together, just in separate corners. I know that I would really enjoy a buddy in my new home. I have grown very fond of my foster family and don’t enjoy it when they leave, but I am patient when left free roaming in the house while they are gone. I have been very respectful, not destructive, and haven't chewed up anything. Crates are scary for me so I would prefer to wait and watch out the window till you get home. At night I would love to sleep in bed with you sharing a pillow, but I do just fine on my dog bed next to you if that’s not your thing. I am looking for an active family that will continue my training, help me feel secure and safe, and allow me to show you all of the Boxer love, hugs, and snuggles you can handle. See, I knew you would want to meet me so click my link! Bella 2.5 YO 60 Pounds Leash Trained Hi, I’m Bella!, I am a gorgeous sweet girl that is in the process of learning a lot of new skills and settling in to life with stability, and routine. I have blossomed into the most devoted and loyal dog partner anyone could want. I am learning about what life should be like for me, I am learning how to play and enjoy life. I am a delight in the house so I have not needed a crate, although, I could learn to use one. I really enjoy car rides, belly rubs, and walks, of course the finest things in life. I have a natural tail that starts first thing in the morning and goes all day. I am an all-around happy girl that is looking or an active family that is willing to continue to help me bloom with training, and building routines. Story
Hi, I'm Buddy! I'm a very handsome guy, with the most velvety ears. I am said to have “big cuddle energy”. You may have heard that I'm blind, but it doesn't bother me, I get around on my own with no issues. My foster mom spent time safeguarding the house before I arrived, but I showed her right away that I my other stellar senses make-up for my eyes. I can easily find my food and water, I run up and down the stairs, figured out the dog door in one day, and have no trouble getting in the car for adventures, in fact, I love adventures! I am also perfectly potty-trained, and crate-trained. My hearing is very good, I overheard my foster mom say that my blindness has caused me to feel a little vulnerable and on alert util I have a chance to do my own research. I do use my skills to alert the neighbors to any strange noises, and it takes a little extra time for me to trust new people, dogs, and learn new sounds. I may enjoy and feel safe in a home with a buddy, but I would need a slow introduction, and maybe need a female friend. Physical touch is my love language; I always want to have my paws on you. However, I'm learning that not everyone likes that, so we are working on not jumping and standing on you. I am very loving, and I show love for my people when I kiss and nibble their ears, probably why I'm the only dog allowed on the couch here. I am looking for a quiet, patient home that will share a lot of love and physical touch with me, a family that will have time to hang out, take me on adventures, and continue my training. If you think that we would be a good fit, I would love to show you what getting your ear nibbled is like, you will love it! Click my link so we can meet. If you would like to adopt him, fill out an adoption application on our website www.nwboxerrescue.org Like us on facebook for more photos of this handsome boy, as well as other boxers we have available!  www.facebook.com/northwestboxerrescue December 16, 2024, 6:01 pm
