Story
Mia is a three year old white Boxer who’s spayed and up -to-date on all vaccines. It appears as if Mia has lived in an apartment til now, She walks well on leash. She has not been socialized and owner says that she doesn’t react well to other people or dogs, that she fights with other dogs. Owner says she’s not good with kids or cats. Story
Marian is a 1-year-old black and white pittie mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! 💖 Whether it’s long walks on the beach, hiking, or just splashing around in the sprinkler, Marian is ready to be your partner in all things fun and adventurous! Marian is an incredibly good girl who gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, dogs, and even chickens! She loves watching the chickens throughout the day and being gentle with everyone around her. Marian is quiet and peaceful, enjoying tranquility but also loving playtime, especially with kids. Her foster family says she’s a darling, looking for her forever family to share love and joy with. Marian dreams of a family with kids who want to play and a yard where she can run and explore. She enjoys pack walks with her seven foster mates and does great with leash greetings in the yard. Marian is working on her crate training and loves to tuck herself into her crate with her toys or curl up for a rest. She gets along famously with all the dogs in her foster home, especially the Chihuahua! While she needs a bit of leash work, Marian corrects easily and loves learning new things. When it comes to cats, Marian had a little interest in our resident cat at first, but once he jumped up into the cat tree, she let it go. At home, she has no interest in the cats and even gets bullied by a new one without reacting. 🐾 Marian is still a young pup, so she needs a family ready to commit to training, socialization, and all the fun (and chaos) that comes with puppyhood. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Marian is a quick learner eager to master new skills every day. Her intelligence and willingness to please make her a joy to train. She’s perfect for walks, hikes, and showing off around the neighbourhood. Marian is a star in the making! 🌟 Ready to make memories and share endless adventures? Adopt Marian and embark on a journey filled with fun, love, and joy! 🐾💕 https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66a290a863fe2b6f240eaec6 Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Rio, a pocket sized boxer mix that is attentive and loyal to people. Rio is a well-behaved dog who walks beautifully on a leash, needing only minimal corrections. He’s people-focused, often checking in with his handler during walks and around other dogs. He would love to go on hiking adventures or walks around the neighborhood. Rio could live in apartment due to his smart size and leash skills. But a home with a yard to roam in would be enjoyable for him too! Rio is gentle and relaxed, accepting touch with ease and even allowing himself to be picked up and carried without fuss. He does well with a quick verbal correction and shows no signs of resource guarding affection. While he gets along fine with cats when they’re on the ground, he may chase them if they jump onto high surfaces, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Rio is best suited for a home with a medium to low-energy dog or with a family where he can enjoy being both independent and affectionate. He would do well with kids and would make a great family dog! If you're looking for a loyal and attentive companion, Rio might just be the perfect match for you! Story
Acquired Koa when he was only 2 days old, rejected by his mom. At 4 weeks, determined that he had a cleft palate. Began preparing dry dog food mixed with gelatin to prevent aspiration. He's had no health problems during his whole life (1 1/2 yrs old) continues to do well with eating (when fixed properly) and drinking. It takes about 10 minutes a night to fix his food for the next day. Our living situation is such that we need to find him a good home. He is a great dog, full of energy and loyal to his family. He gets along with other dogs but can show some dominance. He's never bitten. Loves to play. Not sure about being around cats. He loves to run in the woods, swim (surprisingly) and loves being around his family. Prefer he go to a family with lots of room to run off his energy. He loves kids. Can have him neutered before turned over to a new home. Call/text for more information.
