Gordita is the sweetest little bulldozer of a dog! She is a gorgeous pit bull mix and she’s got the muscle and strength to prove it! Gordita is a big lover and just wants all the attention from her person and once she settles down from all her initial excitement, she will cuddle up for her favorite belly rubs!! Gordita can be a bit dog reactive here at the shelter with selective dogs so she would do best in a home without other animals, however, in the right circumstance, and proper introductions, meeting another dog is not off the table. She just likes to be the center of attention! Gordita loves destroying toys so he is only allowed to have the indestructible toys here at the shelter! She is also a big foodie and will devour any and all food and treats offered to her! (This makes training a breeze for her being so food motivated!) Gordita knows her basic commands but would definitely benefit from additional work on training! Gordita has lots of energy and would do great with an active owner that will take her on lots of walks and hikes and outdoor adventures! She would also do best with someone who can handle her strength and size! Gordita knows how to get the attention by giving you the biggest saddest puppy dog face ever! Dako is a special guy waiting for his special person. Due to his traumatic past, he is shy around new people and a bit selective when it comes to making friends. His ideal future owner will take the time to get to know him and build a trusting relationship. Once Dako trusts you, it truly is so special! He just wants to cuddle in your lap and walk right by your side. Dako has shown some dog reactivity and a high prey drive. For these reasons, we would like to see him go to an adult-only household where he is the only pet. Our vets believe that when Dako was a puppy he had joint malformation which required splints. It seems that Dako never got those splints causing his joints to develop poorly which means he walks a little funny and might have some joint pain. This goofy guy just wants a fresh start with the right person who will love him as he is! Dako is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccines. Please call 590-332-3422

Meet the Alphabet Soup litter! These sweet puppies arrived accidentally after someone adopted a `spayed` female dog who turned out to be unspayed. They love to run around together, wrestle, and sleep in a big cozy puppy pile. These pups are expected to be around 50lbs when full grown.Gumbo is one of the three soup puppies left here at the shelter who is still looking for his forever home! Gumbo came in with his nine siblings and has proven to be quite the cuddle bug since arriving here! While he still loves to play with his siblings and humans to get his wiggles out, he is always up for some cuddles and he gives the best puppy kisses. Gumbo is looking for a home that can accommodate both his puppy wild side and his snuggle bug ways while also prioritizing his training.Gumbo`s adoption fee of $290 covers his microchip, neuter, and first year of vaccines. He originally came in with his nine siblings and was definitely the clumsy one in the group. Since coming in he has gained some coordination and now only performs his acrobatics when he is trying to get to food or people. He has proven himself to be quite smart and always manages to get out of his playpen to get to staff when we are doing kennel maintenance!
