You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet our sweet boy Sherman. He is a senior dog with a gentle soul that enjoys being around his people. Sherman likes to play for a short time. He would do best in a home with an older dog that is as relaxed as him. He does pick the dogs he is most comfortable around and he definitely wouldn't enjoy an energetic puppy. If you are interested in meeting Sherman, the first step is to go to our website www.adoggie4you.org and complete an application for him.  This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cin c innati, Lexington KY,     or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 12:09 pm

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
Meet Rosie, a super sweet girl with a heart as big as Texas! Rosie had a bit of an adventurous stint as a stray, but now she's all set to find her perfect forever home.Rosie is a furry socialite who gets along wonderfully with her fellow doggie pals. However, she does have one little quirk—cats and Rosie aren't exactly a match made in heaven. Those frisky felines tend to trigger her playful chase instincts! When it comes to humans, Rosie is a total cuddlebug. She's convinced she's a lap dog and won't hesitate to hop right up for some quality snuggle time. But here's the fun part: Rosie's got a spirited teenage attitude. When she's told "no" or caught doing something she shouldn't, she's not one to back down quietly—she'll talk back with all the sass!If you're ready to bring a sweet and silly addition to your family, Rosie is more than prepared for her forever home. And yes, she's absolutely transportable, so don't let the Texas distance discourage you, transport only costs $230. Apply today and let the fun begin! Story
Animal Profile: Paige is an estimated 3-year-old, 65 lb female Boxer Pitbull mix who was a stray intake at the Lancaster shelter in Los Angeles County. She was kenneled with another dog where she was very shut down and nervous. We pulled her from the euthanasia list and are getting to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Paige is a sweet dog with plenty of enthusiasm for life! She can be an only dog or part of a multiple dog household with proper introduction and structure -- she is not a fan of "puppy energy" in her space. She is a super sweet dog whois calm 90% of the time and very excited to see you the other 10%. She loves spending time with her people and does very well at dog friendly establishments like cafes and breweries! She loves to go on adventures with you and does great in the car. Paige would do best with someone who is able to spend lots of time with her at home (work from home is great) or take her places with them -- she does have separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone. Paige has excellent leash manners and does very well on walks. She  will need a secure yard and not to be out alone in it. She has a calm disposition and has done fine with the a dog-savvy resident cat. She has done great with the people in her foster home, including a dog-savvy pre-teen. She is potty trained and is using a large plastic travel crate that she feels secure in as it is only open in the front. If you are looking for an adventure dog who likes to chill when you are home, Paige is your gal! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fees benefit all the animals in our rescue, and may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the the high kill Lancaster animal shelter and transported to Seattle area foster care 9/22/24. This dog will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.December 7, 2024, 4:05 pm

Story
Meet Abby! This beautiful 8-month-old, 33-pound princess is truly the most adorable and cute little girl you'll ever meet. She is a little survivor of 12, her mom was abandoned and at one day old, Abby and her 11 siblings were left in a box in the middle of nowhere with no shade. When we came for them after receiving a report from a neighbor of the owner, there were only 5 babies left alive, and we found the rest already dead inside a plastic bag with a knot in it. Abby grew up happy with her litter, they are very active and loving little ones. She is learning to walk on her leash, lives well with dogs and cats and is the most chubby of her litter. She is the smiliest and is very intelligent. It would be ideal for her to grow up in a home with children, she likes walks and although she is a little shy at first, she usually comes out of her shell quickly. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washignton. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

These pups are in Lake Stevens, Washington too!

Story
Are you ready to fall in love? Meet Sweet Pea! This goofy girl is full of personality! She is a 6 year old Pit Bull mix that weighs 54lbs and is ready to leave paw prints on your heart! Sweet Pea is currently being fostered in Tacoma, Washington and would love to meet you! Sweet Pea had a rough start to life, she was found on the streets eating garbage on the side of the road. Sweet Pea was covered in motor oil, which her previous owners likely assumed would cure her sarcoptic mange and unfortunately, this home remedy caused more harm than good. Sweet Pea had a raging skin infection that affected her eyes, ears and caused permanent scarring to her skin. We also quickly discovered she had heartworms. Luckily, Sweet Pea was rescued and taken into a loving foster home that helped her heal into the gorgeous, goofy girl she is today! Sweet Pea is as sweet as her name implies! This goofy hippo is a happy go lucky girl who just wants to snuggle with her humans! SweetPea has never met a stranger, she loves everyone she meets and loves to mother the kiddos in her nanny dog way. SweetPea is a great mix of energetic and playful but will gladly crash out on the couch with you for snuggles. This girl absolutely LOVES to give kisses, so it's imperative that you indulge her once and a while! She is medium energy, with short bursts of playfulness followed by epic naps and snuggle time. She loves to sleep in bed, although she is a bed hog and steals the covers. SweetPea loves car rides, puppy lattes, meeting new people, long walks on the beach and has recently discovered that she loves the snow! She would make an excellent adventure buddy! This sassy girl is diva at times and does best with other non-reactive, playful dogs. SweetPea can get overwhelmed around multiple dogs and would do best in a home with a mellow dog buddy, or as on only dog where she can soak up all of your attention. House trained, kennel trained and excellent on a leash, SweetPea is a well mannered girl who always wants to learn. She is very food motivated and was also clicker trained by her foster mom. SweetPea loves enrichment toys, such as a Kong and nylabone. She loves any kind of toy and will keep herself busy for hours taking the toys in and out of the toy bin! SweetPea is a healthy happy girl, although she does need medicated baths once a month. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and fully vaccinated.

Story
Introducing Dottie, a delightful 2-year-old pocket pittie with a playful personality, one bright blue eye, and an adorable pittie smile. Dottie is currently in foster care in the greater Seattle area and is eager to meet potential adopters. If you think she might be the perfect fit for your family, please fill out an application at https://www.doggedly.org/adoption-app. Dottie's journey began when a kind-hearted individual found her wandering the streets of Texas. She was taken in by Doggedly and later placed in a foster home in Houston, where she blossomed. Now, Dottie is excited to find her forever home in the Pacific Northwest. This high-energy pup loves to run and play, making her an ideal match for an active person that enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, daily walks, and adventures. Dottie is a lot of fun and particularly enjoys cooling off on hot days with a hose. She's also a big fan of snuggling and would love to cuddle up with her human in bed or relax on the couch with a bone. Additionally, Dottie has a curious nature and loves exploring, so having a secure yard with durable fencing is essential. Dottie is an intelligent girl and loves to self-soothe with a chew toy and a soft bed. She loves to chew, which is an essential part of her daily self care ritual. Dottie also loves a structured daily routine that keeps her mentally engaged. This super smart girl knows when it's time to go on walks and have breakfast, and will gladly be your puppy alarm clock to break up the monotony of your day! Once she gets her exercise, Dottie loves to chill. She would love to share your bed or take over your couch, but she is also kennel trained. In a previous foster home, Dottie thrived alongside two small dogs, kids, and a senior cat. Dottie does well with other dogs with proper introductions once she expends her energy, and is eager to make friends. She is an athletic dog and does have a drive and loves to chase or run. She would thrive in a home with an active, but laidback male companion, but would also love to be an only dog. Due to her compact size, she would also do well in an apartment with daily walks throughout the day. Dottie is strong but is great on a leash. She enjoys her walks and is harness trained. What are you waiting for? Snatch up the dog of your dreams today! Dottie is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to steal your heart!
