Story
Meet Boo, an adorable 10-month-old Terrier/Boxer mix who is eagerly searching for his forever home! 😍With a sweet and funny personality, Boo is sure to bring endless joy and laughter into your life. Although Boo is deaf, this does not dampen his vibrant spirit; in fact, it only adds to his charm and resilience. He approaches life with a playful attitude, proving that nothing can hold him back. Boo communicates in his own unique ways, showcasing his goofy nature and ability to connect with those around him. He loves to engage with his environment, whether he’s chasing after toys, exploring new places, or curling up for some cozy cuddle time. His affectionate disposition makes him a fantastic companion who thrives on human interaction and companionship. Due to some separation anxiety, Boo would do best in a home where someone works remotely or spends a significant amount of time at home. This arrangement would allow him to receive the love and attention he craves. While he's not a fan of being crated, Boo is proudly house trained, making him an easy addition to any household. Boo is incredibly adaptable and gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him an ideal fit for families or anyone looking for a loving furry friend. His playful antics and loving nature create a warm atmosphere, ensuring that your home is filled with joy. Boo is searching for a loving family that will embrace him and help him flourish. He is neutered, microchipped, and UTD on vaccinations. If you’re ready to welcome a spirited and charming companion into your life, Boo could be the perfect match for you! Story
Bruno has been through a lot. I adopted him at 3 months old, where he was microchipped and neutered. I adopted him from Arkansas. He traveled by bus with many other dogs. When I picked him up in Maryland, he was shaking from his journey. I brought him down to Richmond (where I was living in a townhouse with three roommates and a pit bull terrier). Now he is a happy, very well-behaved dog who enjoys running outside or cuddled up on the couch. Bruno will be 4 years old this upcoming Cinco de Mayo. I am moving abroad in January and must find a suitable home for him. He is very timid but has never shown any sign of aggression to any person or dog. Bruno is laid back, goofy, fully house-trained, and would do well in a family where someone is mostly home.

Story
Meet Miss Freckles! This sweet Bully girl was originally rescued with her tiny, senior buddy in Texas. A couple of Good Samaritans, who were staying in a local Airbnb, saw Freckles and her pal outside of a vacant home being kept in a yard with no shelter, food, or water in the Texas heat. Both dogs looked thin and depleted. They monitored the situation for a week and realized they had been abandoned. Thankfully, they took action, loading both dogs into their car and bringing them home to SC. They contacted Worthy Dog to help with Miss Freckles, and a local rescue took the little senior pup in. Freckles is being fostered in a home with a mom, dad, and 4 other large dogs. She does well as part of a pack and, like many dogs, needs a few days to get her bearings. The first day she was snappy if one of the dogs rushed up to her too quickly, but after a few days, she was wrestling with the resident puppy and doing pack walks with the older dogs. She has a high tolerance for the puppy and is a submissive dog with more moderate/laidback energy. We’ve learned that Freckles loves to go on walks and sunbathe in the backyard. She’s chill inside the home but will perk up for a walk. She’s more upbeat when paired with another dog and slows down when it's just her. She has been known to chase a squirrel from time to time and is a strong pup who needs a capable handler. Otherwise, she has pretty good leash-walking skills and really enjoys getting out to explore. She also loves car rides and will jump right in when you're ready to go. Over the past six weeks, we’ve seen Freckles come out of her shell and really start to trust. She’s very sweet, submissive pup.  She was a little hand-shy at first, but as she feels safe and loved you can see her become more relaxed. She’s discovered toys and loves to play fetch in the yard. She has good house manners and is both housetrained and crate-trained. She’s done well being left at home with the pack or contained with a baby gate...she’ll just nap until you come back. FOSTER  MOM UPDATE: "When Freckles first got here she was hand-shy and would bow her head down or lay down when I went to leash her. Now she's excited for her walks. She also enjoys romping in the backyard and she loves to sunbathe. She is not afraid of storms or the car, and she loves to go on outings. She is connected to both my husband and me, and while she's not pushy for affection, she enjoys it. She likes to chase a toy when she is in the mood. Has her main burst of energy in the morning.  She is very sweet and I know someone is going to love her and give her the life she deserves." ******* Because of the kindness of two strangers who helped Freckles find her way to rescue, this sweet, deserving girl will have a full life and a loving home.
