Murphy is a lovable goofball with a heart as big as his paws. At just 1 year old, this Boxer Lab Pit mix is full of playful energy, affection, and personality. Weighing about 73 pounds, Murphy is a big happy pup who is ready to bring joy and laughter to his forever family. Murphy is crate trained, housebroken with supervision, and does very well with other dogs, although his enthusiastic and bouncy play style may be a bit much for smaller or more delicate companions. He is smart, eager to please, and already knows basic cues such as sit, stay, and down. He also walks nicely on leash and enjoys spending time with his people. With continued structure and consistency, Murphy will continue to thrive and show just how wonderful he can be. Because of his size and playful nature, Murphy would do best in a home with older children who can comfortably interact with a larger energetic dog. Sherbet is a 2 year old boxer and pit bull mix who arrived at the shelter after living his life on a chain. He came to us underweight with visible scars from fly strike, yet despite everything he has endured, he has a bright, hopeful spirit and a deep desire for connection. Sherbet is energetic and playful and loves any opportunity to stretch his legs and enjoy freedom. Once he gets his energy out, he leans in for affection and clearly wants to build a bond with the people around him. With consistent care and structure, he is already showing how much potential he has to grow into a loving companion. At this time, Sherbet is still learning to feel comfortable around other dogs, especially while on leash. We are working with him on confidence building and positive exposure so that he can better understand how to navigate these interactions. With patience, training, and the right environment, we believe he will continue to make progress. Sherbet is looking for a home that can give him the stability and kindness he has never known. I got this dog from Burlington animal shelter NC 4 years ago. His name is Dublin and he is 6 years old now . He is very friendly , never bites and love to welcome guests . He never pee or poop inside , always asks to go outside when needed. Loves to stay with people and try different foods. Never chews stuff or rips any couch. Recognize stranger and bark if someone comes to the door. He loves cats and dogs and play with them . He loves to walk , run and play with the ball . He stays quite calm in the car and doesn’t run away from home or when outside . I like to him stay with a family that take care of him and do not leave him alone all day.

Meet Diablo! This handsome boy has been here with us at the shelter since 8/26/2024 that is 425 days, and has had no real interest so it is time we do a refresh and reintroduce like he is new! He was a stray that was never claimed so we do not know much about his background but what we do know about him is that he will love and protect you from any danger. He will require multiple meet and greets to be able to get fully acquainted and comfortable with his new potential family. He is not great with meeting new people until you earn his trust but with patience and a lot of yummy treats he does get there. He loves everyone at the shelter and gets so excited, does a little bunny hop prance dance and is a love bug to all of us. He loves his but scratches, to run around and play and likes to pretend he is a seal with no ears. He is not great with quick sudden movements especially near his face so we would suggest no homes with small children. He has been good with dogs at the shelter especially the ladies but we do require meet and greets if another dog resides in the home. Diablo all in all is such a good boy he just needs a chance and a new owner to put in the work with him and he will turn into your protector and your best friend.

Bella came in as a stray, she had a shock collar or electric fence collar on, and a regular collar on but no one ever claimed her. She is also sweet as can be. Looks to be around 1-2 years old. Wants to play with other dogs but does not love all females. We have not cat tested her yet. She is loves to do zoomies and play with toys. She loves to go for walks as well.
