Story
Stevie can be reactive in certain situations. Her triggers include receiving treats around other dogs when off-leash and, occasionally, her food bowl, though this behavior is inconsistent. She feels comfortable around familiar people and, when on-leash and given commands, does not engage with other dogs or strangers. However, she may show reactivity toward some dogs and people when off-leash. In her home environment, Stevie can be unpredictable around children and dogs she has been exposed to for a few days. While she may initially play well with kids, sudden movements or the presence of food can provoke an aggressive reaction. Despite these behaviors, Stevie is incredibly affectionate and enjoys being close to her person. She adapts well to varying energy levels and is generally not a frequent barker. Occasionally, she may bark in the backyard, but this is easily controlled with the command “No Bark, Treat.” I frequently travel and rely on trusted dog sitters or her training facilit

Story
Meet Rio, a pocket sized boxer mix that is attentive and loyal to people. Rio is a well-behaved dog who walks beautifully on a leash, needing only minimal corrections. He’s people-focused, often checking in with his handler during walks and around other dogs. He would love to go on hiking adventures or walks around the neighborhood. Rio could live in apartment due to his smart size and leash skills. But a home with a yard to roam in would be enjoyable for him too! Rio is gentle and relaxed, accepting touch with ease and even allowing himself to be picked up and carried without fuss. He does well with a quick verbal correction and shows no signs of resource guarding affection. While he gets along fine with cats when they’re on the ground, he may chase them if they jump onto high surfaces, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Rio is best suited for a home with a medium to low-energy dog or with a family where he can enjoy being both independent and affectionate. He would do well with kids and would make a great family dog! If you're looking for a loyal and attentive companion, Rio might just be the perfect match for you! Story
Meet Abbey LIverpool! She is currently 35 pounds, 5 months old, and we think she may be a Boxer/Pittie mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Abbey's video here: It will just take one look into Sweet Abbey's soulful liquid eyes to see what a delicate charmer this girl is. Abbey's ears will tell you everything you need to know - when she's feeling shy, when she's interested in a treat, and when she's most in need of a cuddle and snuggle (which we live for, lol). Abbey loves soft stuffies and squeaky toys, but will forego all of that for belly rubs or lap time with you. (Don't tell her that she doesn't fit in your lap, because she doesn't endorse that kind of negativity, lol. If any part of her sits, she fits.) Abbey is currently in a loving foster home with her two sisters and loves to play and nap with her siblings. This gorgeous girl is quite mellow and laid-back and we admire her loving and gentle personality (and we know you will too). Abbey is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Cooper is easy to love, adorable and sweet, a friend to all he meets. This dreamy boy is small dog friendly, kid friendly and a perfect office buddy! He goes to his foster mom’s office every day, a veterinarian clinic, and adores meeting everyone there. He’s a total family dog with a heart for the socialites among us, he loves to have friends around and adores all people. We believe that Cooper is a Boxer, American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is estimated to be around a year old, past the terrors of puppyhood but still young and trainable enough to become your perfect dog! Cooper is very trainable too, already knowing “paw” and “sit.” He’s food motivated, and a gentle treat taker, which will make further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Cooper is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Cooper weighs in around 45 pounds and loves to lay across your lap in a snuggle. Meet Cooper here: https://youtu.be/Ly1Vaqe8teI?feature=shared Currently fostered in a loving, multi-dog home, Cooper is accustomed to the house dog lifestyle. He loves to curl up in his soft dog bed and adores toys, especially balls. His foster mom reports that he doesn’t have indoor accidents and does well in his crate. Cooper is still learning his leash manners, but with a little polishing he’ll be a perfect walking companion in no time. Cooper is fostered with a shih-tzu mix and does well playing with his smaller companions. We believe that Cooper could live with dogs of all sizes! Cooper goes to the vet clinic that his foster mom works in every day. He gets along well with everyone and enjoys the extra attention that strangers bring. He regularly hangs out with children at the clinic, and does well with kids! He loves to play fetch with them and give kisses. He’s also great in the car, and doesn’t mind the commute! He sits up in the backseat and watches the window. We believe that Cooper would do well in a home with other dogs, or as your only child. We believe Cooper would do really well as a family dog. Cooper could live in an apartment, or in a house. Cooper is such a sweetheart, and he’s ready to meet his forever family. We are willing to test Cooper with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Licorice is one of those dogs that you can just look at and see gentle ease. The way Licorice approaches you for connection and affection could make you think he is a bit shy but after spending time with him, I can tell you, he is so warm and simply approaches love slow and sweet. One of my favorite things about Licorice, besides his contentedness, is his happy trot on leash. He has those high stepping feet that truly just make you smile. I have him called fancy feet by a few people and his walk described as a cantering horse. It is cute and you can catch a glimpse of it in his get-to-know Licorice video here- https://youtu.be/2cDgSM5vRR4 Estimated to be just over a year old, Licorice currently weighs 44 lbs. He is on a bit of a weight gain journey, and is expected to settle in around 55 lbs, a perfect medium size boy. Given the nature of Licorice being a rescue we cannot guarantee age or breed but from our observation he is likely a boxer/ hound mix, though we haven’t heard any vocalizing associated with the breed, the ears and coloring are giving hound, the body is giving boxer. However you look at it, he is a gorgeous boy ready for love. With his calm demeanor and quiet disposition, Licorice is going to be a wonderful companion to you, your family and the extended family of animals in your home if you have them. He feels comfortable in the company of other dogs, reading them well. He won’t necessarily be the first to start a round of chase with a new friend, he will join for a bit. One of the biggest take-aways after seeing him introduced/play with a variety of dogs is how understanding and tolerant he is. From very eager, bouncy puppies to a big, reserved male- he carries himself with unbothered understanding. This quality makes him an easy fit for most any dogs. A home with an easy-going, friendly female companion would be a dream. Another dog in the home will help him feel secure and encourage his playful side to emerge. Thanks to his size and chill nature, Licorice doesn't need much- a cozy home with a little yard to explore, occasional walks to help him continue to socialize, but mostly- a warm heart to call his. He is easy on leash and is happy to keep pace with his handler, he is still building his confidence in new environments . He is young and experiencing so many new things, time and socializing is all he needs to continue growing his understanding and confidence in the world. A little country life is what I imagine he dreams of- the quiet and slow paced life, maybe even the suburbs. Licorice is currently wearing a puffy jacket to combat a TX cold-front and once it is was put on him, he loved it and was happy to keep it on. Honestly, it looks like he is proud of his coat and it is adorable. Basically, if building a doggie-wardrobe is a goal, you have your perfect model. I can see him now with his high-step prance and an awesome outfit hitting the sidewalk for his own runway moment, each and every day. Honestly, he will be happy to join you around the house or on the couch in whatever outfit you choose, I'll warn you though- he does sneak a few kisses during outfit changes. With his adoring face, quiet charm and loving loyalty you are going to feel just as lucky to have him as he is going to feel to be yours. What a gift! If his sweet, gentle nature speaks to you, Licorice may be your perfect match. Fill out an application today and give this sensitive sweetheart the loving home he deserves! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/677869b62b40d2536f06c9f7 Questions? Story
Rocky is a perfect blend of snugglebug and running buddy, he’s a people-oriented sweetheart with a splash of sunshine that will brighten up your dullest of days. We believe that Rocky is a perfect blend of Boxer and Staffie, but he is a rescue so his exact age and breed cannot be guaranteed. Rocky currently weighs in at 52 pounds, and he likes to hug, so you’ll definitely get a feel for those 52 pounds. Sweet Rocky is estimated to be around 3 years old, past the terrors of puppyhood and settling firmly into his established good dog era. Fall in love with Rocky here: https://youtu.be/qr4yfA_KPN0?feature=shared Rocky loves other dogs, he’s excited to meet them and loves to zoom and play chase with them. He’s currently fostered in a devoted foster home with other dogs, including a small Pomeranian mix. He has a fun and bouncy playstyle that can sometimes be a bit excitable and clumsy in nature, we think he would do best in a home with a confident female canine companion. Rocky is good on leash already, and enjoys tandem walks with doggy friends through his foster mom’s neighborhood. He loves treats, and he’s food motivated, which makes further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. He can get excited for treats, he’ll do some little bunny hops and make big baby eyes at you as he gets his hopes up, but he’s exceptionally gentle taking treats from your hand. It’s too cute! Rocky is a total lovebug. He has this adorable habit of resting his chin right in your hand for pets. He seeks affection, and will bring his head to your legs for a few scratches. He gives big kisses too, and as we all know, dog-slobber has anti-aging properties! This boy is an adventure dog too! He’s great in the car, friendly and warm with everyone he meets, and so confident. He would make an amazing hiking companion! He’s so outdoorsy, and doesn’t mind the mud, puddles or rain. He’s a stick dog too, he loves to pick up and play with sticks he finds in the yard- a classic dog trait that’s endearing every time you see it! Rocky’s perfect home has at least one adoring human to rub his belly and feed him treats. Rocky could live with other dogs, but we do not recommend him for a home with kitties. We think Rocky would be happiest in a home with a fenced yard, because he does love to zoom. While we haven’t seen Rocky with kids just yet, we think he would make a great family dog in a home with kids over 10! Story
Dori thinks she must be on Santa's naughty list, since no one has wanted to adopt her this whole year! She is the sweetest, silliest girl who will tell you all about it when you get home by woo-wooing at you! Dori loves to go for walks and snuggle on the couch with you. She is a boxer mix, spayed, utd on shots and chipped. Dori is probably almost 3yo now and is VERY ready for her furever home. Dori loves to run around the backyard and be chased by another dog her size or bigger. She should NOT live in a home with small prey-type animals, including cats. Dori has had 2 litters of pups and was a great mama. She can be reactive to other dogs while on leash, but I feel like it's due to excitement. However, obviously any introduction should be slow and on neutral territory. Dori is such a wonderful dog who deserves to have her first (of many), best Christmas of her life. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! My name is Bronx D'Puppy and I'm a handsome 1 year old boy. I'm thought to be a boxer/lab mix. In rescue tho, that's not 100% guaranteed, and many people have guessed that I am an American Bulldog. I am 1 year old and weigh in at about 45lbs and should be pretty much full grown - tho I might fill out some more as I mature. I love to play, play and play some more. I can be a bit dog selective (I do better with females) but me and my doggie friends have great time playing all day. I also love my toys and I especially love my tennis ball. I could play ball with you all day! I LOVE FETCH. I am potty trained and crate trained. I know how to use a doggy door and so far I get along with the cats I've met.  I am a young boy, exuberant and energetic. I could use help with manners and my doggie interactions. I am hoping for a family who is patient and understanding, committed to training to help me become the best dog I can be. In return, you will have my loyalty, the best snuggles and all my love! Story
Roger is the sweetest, cuddliest, and did I mention sweetest dog I have known. Just saying his name makes his tail wag. He looks like a little movie dog as he runs around and plays. His list of favorite things are: 1) Running/Cuddling/Eating I have had this 1 year, 5 month old dog since he was a baby. Finding him a new home is the hardest thing I can imagine. Life has taken a turn and I need him to find a new best friend. He needs patience, endless love and kindness, softness, and tons of treats. That is what he will return to you. Apart from the treats. They will all be his. He is soft with people, although may bark at strangers initially. He is amazing with dogs. He hasn’t been around cats but did once find a guinea pig that he just laid next to. Roger is a once in a lifetime sweetheart. He wants to sit on you. He wants to be with you everywhere. He is excited by everything. He is astounding. I’m looking for a home that will give him only happiness. This is all he deserves.

Story
Hope Honeyheart is the sweetest girl! She’s quiet, mellow and calm, making for a perfect little work from home companion, or a member of a quiet, calm household. She’s incredibly loving with her favorite people and so friendly with strangers, a lovebug through and through. We think that Hope may be a Labrador, Pit Bull mix, but she is a rescue, so her exact age and breed are unknown and cannot be guaranteed. Hope is currently estimated to be around one year old, and she currently weighs in at a soft and snuggly 40 pounds. Watch Hope here: https://youtu.be/tY8yvvf-ZAw?si=QvVb4CKLO27W9Hwz Hope is a sweet girl, but she can be a little bit shy in new environments for a moment or two. A few pets and a soft voice win her over quickly. Hope adores new friends, and greets every stranger with a tail wag. With her favorite humans, Hope is a total Velcro dog. She trots after her favorite people, eager to accompany them wherever they may be headed. She loves to be next to her humans, or even in their laps if they’ll allow it! Hope is remarkably quiet, and we have yet to hear her bark here at the rescue. Hope is extremely easy-going, and her quiet demeanor will make her a wonderful companion dog for a quiet lifestyle. Hope is gentle and good on leash, still polishing her leash skills, but with a little more practice she will be an excellent walking companion. She auto-sits for treats, and takes treats so gently. She’s very food motivated, meaning that further training will be enjoyable for both of you. Hope is very dog friendly, and is currently fostered with multiple doggy-siblings. Hope plays so well with others. We believe Hope will do best in a household with other dogs, and will do best with a polite doggy brother. Here at the rescue, Hope was cat tested, and we believe her to be cat tolerant. She could live with dog savvy kitties. See her cat test for yourself in her video. Hope’s perfect home would have at least one loving human to adore her, and a doggy friend to help her feel more comfortable. Hope would prefer a home with a back yard, or a home with minimal traffic around it, as she prefers calmer environments. We think Hope would do well as a family dog, with older kids that can be respectful of her boundaries. Hope is a sweet girl, but we do think it may take her some time to settle in and bond with her new family, because she is such a sensitive and soft girl. We hope that her forever family will give her the time and space she needs to properly decompress upon her arrival. Save the “welcome home” party for a later date, instead welcome Hope home with softness and sweetness, and she will love you endlessly for it. With any questions, please reach out to her adoption coordinator, whose email is linked below. We are willing to test Hope with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Story
I don’t know what’s more to love! She’s squishy in all the right places, wiggly in all the best ways, gentle as can be, and smiles bigger than you can imagine. Luna Lulu is the whole package! She lights up a room with her energy and can make anyone’s days 100x better. She has something so special about her that makes you instantly fall in love. Her personality and energy is contagious. You can see it for yourself when you watch her video. When she looks at you through the camera with that big ole pitty smile, pay attention to how that made you feel and ask yourself, “did I just instantly feel way happier because this dog smiled at me?”. The answer to your question is 100% without a doubt, yes. That’s exactly what happens and that’s what we mean by her personality and energy is contagious. Get ready to fall in love: https://youtu.be/W-Py-ZO9CLU Lulu Luna is an absolute sweet heart! She loves life and you can see it in everything she does. Lulu loves to be around people. She’s a people’s dog down to her core, people make her the happiest. Luna is wonderfully attentive to her person and if you have treats, that is one of the quickest way to this girls heart. Although it doesn’t take much from the get go. She really lights up when she feels your gaze fall on her, she will turn that charm on so fast and next thing you know, you’re in love! Its exactly what happened to me. She gave me the eyes, the love, and then hit me with a sit, down, shake combo and we almost ran away together. It doesn’t matter if she has known you her whole life or if she just met you seconds ago, she already loves you. Lulu Luna is a beautiful brindle pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 51 lbs of pure love and wiggles. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Lulu is very smart, loves to learn things and is a sucker for treats which will make any future training with her that much more enjoyable. She already comes with a few tricks up her sleeve that she has learned such as sit, shake, lay down and will continue to learn new and cool tricks that she can show off until her forever family finds her. You’ll constantly catch her checking in with her handler listening for the next mark. She can be a little stubborn at times and doesn’t want to listen (typical diva) but with a few treats and consistency she’ll catch on quickly. Luna loves to go on walks and going on adventures through the trails where she can smell all the smells and enjoy the great outdoors. She walks like a dream on a special training leash that we like to use at the rescue called a gentle leader. Which is essentially just an extra training tool that helps her be the best doggy citizen that we know she is. She is crate trained, potty trained, has great house manners, takes treats gently, is not destructive in the home and loves toys! She can entertain herself for hours with some toys. She likes to toss them up in the air and tries to catch them. It’s very entertaining to watch. Luna's love even extends to children. She loves kids and lights up when she is around them. Not only does she love kids but she is also very tolerant with physical touch and even lets little ones rest their head on her. She also doesn’t mind when kids are running around her, yelling, playing with toys or any of the scenarios that comes with having kids, including tantrums and crying fits. Luna has a lot of love to give and she will shower your little ones with love too. She does get excited from time to time and may knock over the smaller humans that are still growing into their legs but if you have kids that are use to big dogs and use to being loved on, your kids are going absolutely LOVE Luna. Once her initial excitement passes, Luna will be snuggling on the couch with your little ones, play dress up, and will be the best guest to have around for those exclusive private tea parties kids like to throw. Luna loves to be outside and would do best in a home with a backyard where she can play with her toys, romp around, and sunbathe during the nice summer days. She’s the perfect companion to have around for patio cookouts with friends and family, if you have some trails you’re wanting to explore she’s already in the car sitting next to you as your passenger princess ready for an adventure. Luna also isn’t opposed to those cozy lazy days either. She’s very affectionate and loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch. She really is open to anything as long as she’s with her people she’s happy. Luna does need to be the only animal in the home but she has enough personality and love for multiple dogs so we don’t believe you’ll ever be short on affection or companionship from this girly. We are willing to test Luna Lulu with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know If you have any questions or would like us to explore how Luna handles any other situation or circumstance, email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org- we are here to help! Story
Banjo here is a family man, the type that likes a walk in the morning to start the day off right followed by a down-on-the floor play session with the kids. We love those guys! Sure he is a dog and can’t pay the bills but he promises to support the family with all the love, fun, and memory making anyone could ask for. Watch his video see all the reasons why he’s perfect for you: https://youtu.be/6YBBYLqEzqA?si=A6SS5On5pQt0ycQ0 Banjo just barely made it in to the infamous, itty-bitty-pitty club, he is small but more like sleek or sporty. I think we will start a new club called the nifty-fifty-pitty club just for Banjo- he weighs 50 lbs and wants to live for 50 years so he is taking care of himself. This handsome guy has been fortunate to spend his time waiting for his adoption day in a loving foster home, giving him a head start on becoming an excellent house dog. Banjo’s foster family has been dedicated to his continued growth and improvement, they are his #1 fans and have poured that love into making sure he is ready to be a wonderful pet. From ensuring he is house and crate trained to his leash walking skills, they are proud of where he is at and truly feel he is ready to fly. Living in a home with kids has ensured that Banjo understands sharing toys gently and the importance of keeping all his paws on the ground when greeting someone, especially little ones. He can still get a little loose when he plays so older kids, steady on their feet would be best. That sleek figure of his is swift and we all know that a toddlers sea legs get blown over by the wind so easily. Being a toy lover and treat motivated translates into a highly trainable, self entertaining guy, two things worth their weight in gold for a dog lover. Plus, he learns fast! Getting his attention for a training session doesn’t take any work, say his name, ask him to sit, show him a treat and there you go. Honestly, you don’t even need the treat- it just helps. He has mastered sit and wait, which are great tools when its time to put a leash on for a walk. Once he hits the sidewalk he is in the zone, ready to get those steps in! He is friendly to people but has worked hard to not let them distract him if he hasn’t been given permission to greet them. If you’re at a cafe relaxing though, his gorgeous galaxy coat and expressive ears are sure to draw a few people over wanting to say hi. Banjo is dog friendly, loves to play, and can pass by other dogs while out on a walk but would do best in a home as your one and only fur baby. Not to worry though, his love is boundless and his personality is out of this world that he will be all you need. Banjo is going to make a wonderful companion and thanks to his size and quiet nature he is a great candidate for apartment/townhouse living. He isn’t going to be barking at every sound in the hallway or when you leave for work. No barking in the kennel here. Wait, theres more! He is also great in the car! Whether he is in the mood to look out the window or its nap-time, he will be right where you put him, enjoying himself. Banjo is ready for the fur-ever role of your best boy. Ready to enjoy walks together and create a load of wonderful memories, playing and exploring together! Please email : Kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there!
