Story
Bowser is an intact 5 year old boxer who loves to be around family. He was given to us by a family friend as an adult. He is a sweet dog that would prefer to be an only dog. He does not get along with other male dogs but has enjoyed play time with female dogs at the dog park. He is house broken, eats on command, sits and walks well on a leash. He chases little critters (squirrels/rabbits/etc.) A home with small pets should not let Bowser around them as he likes to hunt rodents. Although Bowser is a senior, he loves going on hikes/walks and the such. He enjoys traveling by car and has traveled 3 states so far! Bowser has a calm personality and is young at heart. He would do really well with someone who is experienced with boxers.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yo!! Let me introduce myself. My name is Bronx D'Puppy and I'm thought to be a boxer/lab mix. In rescue tho, that's not 100% guaranteed. I am 6 months old and am a growing boy. I love to play, play and play some more. I love all my foster brothers and sisters and we have a great time playing all day. I love my toys and I especially love my tennis ball. I am working on potty training and will need continued assistance for my success. I know how to use a doggy door and so far I get along with the cats I've met.  I will likely be a big boy when I'm full grown. Not a sure bet but likely around 50 - 60 lbs.  I will need someone with patience and understanding  committed to training to help me become the best dog I can be. In return, you will have my loyalty, the best snuggles and all my love! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I’m Creed, a handsome boxer mix who wants to be front and center in your life! I want as much attention as you’ll give me because I think hanging with my people is so fun!  I'm about a year and a half old and I weigh about 60  pounds.  I like all sizes of people and dogs, I just need a very good introduction to everyone I meet. I love kids of all ages, but I am looking for a home without young children. Occasionally I get super silly, so kids over 12 are best, if any. I haven’t met any cats, but my foster mom thinks that I might be OK with them. Can I sleep on your bed? How about the couch? Can I get in your face waiting for attention and scratches? Mind if I get the zoomies a few times a day and act super silly? Don’t worry, I’m also fine left alone…I’ll find a cozy place to snooze until you’re ready to hang with me again! If I’m feeling excluded for too long, you might hear me sing the song of my people.  I am potty trained and crate trained, and I am quick to learn new things! It took no effort to train me a specific potty spot. I am also pretty good on a leash.  I am fine left out of my crate, since I don’t chew on things I’m not supposed to. I’m just a goofball of a dog! Did you know that sometimes dogs have the same kind of depression and anxiety that people do? That's what happened to me. I didn't have any problems, and then one day I just started feeling a bit...off. I got kind of weird about new people, the couch, being woken up suddenly. Kind of random, weird stuff. My foster mama tried really hard to fix me up, and after a few months of trying all the behavioral and holistic things, we decided to give medication a try. Now I'm taking Prozac and it's helping me a lot. I am ready to find my forever family! If you’re needing a pup in your life that will provide you some comic relief, I’m your boy! Apply to meet me right here! https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication   IMPORTANT: I am looking for a specific type of home. My ideal home would be a quieter place without a ton of kid activity. I can be sensitive to loud noises, sudden movements and new people. I can be loud, myself, at times, so an apartment/townhome is not for me. I need a family/person who can be firm with both me and other people/dogs who want to meet me. I have attended some training, and continued training will be a requirement for my adopter within 90 days.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 3, 2024, 4:22 pm

Story
Bruno is very playful, loves to play fetch. Eats Purina dog chow. Free feeds throughout the day. Has been losing weight and has a few skin tags in his back. Bruno is kenneled trained inside and outside. He loves playing outside but he will try to dig under the fence if there is another dog on the other side of the fence and if he’s not supervised. Bruno knows commands such as sit, shake, lay down. Do to personal reasons we are unable to keep him.

Story
Meet Bella, the charming and spirited pup who's sure to steal your heart! With her love for playtime, especially with well-balanced rescue dogs, Bella would happily spend all day frolicking in the yard. This smart girl isn't shy about expressing herself, and while it took her a bit to warm up to us, we know she'll do the same with her new family. Once Bella recognizes you as a friend, she'll shower you with affection like no other. Bella does better with slow intro and well balance dogs.  Crate time is a breeze for Bella, though doggy beds don't stand a chance with her playful nature—they quickly become toys to shred! Highly motivated by treats, Bella responds well to training and is quite adept on a leash, although she can get easily distracted. A gentle leader might be the perfect tool to help her focus. Bella prefers the comfort of her own home and will need some encouragement to fully appreciate the joys of a walk. She tends to get anxious around other dogs during these outings, often voicing her excitement a bit too loudly. Remember, no rescue animal is perfect, but Bella's incredible qualities far outweigh her quirks. She's eager and ready to find her forever home with a family who understands and loves her just the way she is. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for. We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest & East Coast every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters, and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest, the East Coast or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes, our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you can see our posts.  Unfortunately Meet & Greets has been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animal travel has been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and have been very successful.  Please look at our adopter’s reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##2149754##
