Story
Hello there, I`m Huck. I`m quite the mellow fellow, always ready to relax and take life at a leisurely pace. I`m also friendly, you see. I love meeting new people and making friends. I`ve got a goofy side too, which makes life in the shelter a bit more fun. I`m an adult, but don`t let that fool you. I`ve got plenty of love to give and life to live. So why should you adopt me? Well, with me, you`ll have a loyal friend who`s always up for a laugh or a lazy day on the couch. I promise to fill your life with joy and laughter. Let`s make beautiful memories together!Come see me at 2400 Lone Star Dr. any day between 12noon-6pm!

Story
Re-introducing Benny! Benny is now 8 months old. He is a boxer mix and will be fully vetted including Neuter this week. He’s been in foster care for quite some time now and has really grown up. We can’t understand why he’s not getting adoption attention. He is just too sweet not to get a furever home. Benny has grown into an easy laid-back older puppy. He gets along with all of the dogs and the cat. He tends to be quiet and non-confrontational. He likes to dig and we’ve got some pretty good holes. He prefers to be indoors and will lay around and play couch potato. He sleeps in a crate overnight. He doesn’t like the to be leashed but walks okay once he gets going. He just needs some more practice and he will be perfect. He still lives to play with his toys and still loves to snuggle. To meet Benny, please fill out an application! Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application. Adoption donation of $350 includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. Dallas/Ft. Worth area Applications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  November 5, 2024, 4:06 pm

Story
NOTE: Please read the last paragraph in order to learn how to apply to Adopt or to Foster Grady. Well, look who is ready and waiting for a Foster Home OR Adoption! It is GRADY, the Boxer mix we recently rescued. He has turned out to be THE best boy and is loved by everyone that meets him...well, except for cats...they don't like him much. Grady has been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and tested Negative for heartworms!! He came to us at about 62 pounds, but he is still thin. We believe he is approximately 2 years old, probably less. He sometimes still urinates like a puppy and he's so curious about Everything... sneaks up on anything unfamiliar. It's so cute to watch! Grady is house-trained and he knows 'sit.' He takes treats very gently from your hand and will give you big kisses in return. He's playful, but will chill with you on the couch, too. Grady is good with other dogs and children; but NOT good with cats. He's an all-around great dog and has many years ahead to fill your life with love and fun! Please apply to Foster OR Adopt him by completing the online application you will find near his photos on our website, www.BaytownHumaneSociety.org
