Story
LOVES BELLY RUBS AND GIVES KISSES  Est. DOB 10/8/18, Weight ~ 65 lbs I’m Buster, a sweet, happy, eager-to-please, playful Boxer/ Black Mouth Cur mix fella who loves “marathon” belly rubs and snuggling for hours with my human dad on the sofa or the bed. When he sits on the floor with me, I love to lie across his lap and give kisses. I’m very loyal and doting with my human dad, with whom I’ve bonded tremendously, and I follow him everywhere. I’m respectful and trustworthy with children outside the coffee shop and on walks. A bonus is that I have a very soft mouth when I take treats and toys. Speaking of walks, I love them! But, True Confessions – I’m working on my leash manners so I don’t get overly stimulated by cats, squirrels, or certain other dogs. I do enjoy the company of certain other dogs, whether playing or lounging around together, but I'm rather selective.  Moderate exercise not only stimulates me physically but mentally too. I’ve been through obedience training and I “sit,” “down,” and “place” on command (for the most part). The trainer says that I’m a quick learner because of my treat-motivation. I’ve had a rotating cast of dog walkers, and they all applaud how people-friendly I am. With proper introductions, I meet new people and strangers easily – with the exception of people who ring that annoying doorbell. I’ve come a long way from when I was rescued at BARC, Houston’s City shelter. You know, there are advantages to adopting an adult dog like me who’s past the stage of puppy-craziness. I’m crate-trained and know how to use the doggy door. I’m not a digger and I don’t destroy anything that isn’t a toy -- other than a couple of pillows. I’ve been a loving adopted canine brother for many months but now my canine brother's anxiety has gotten worse, to the point where it is hard for us to be together therefore it’s better that I find a new home since he was here first.  So, I’m available for adoption again! If you’re looking for a big, gentle boy who’s a bundle of love, I fit the bill!! And I’m flexible – I can live in an apartment as long as I get adequate exercise or a home with a backyard for chasing the tennis ball.  I’d love to be the star of the show and get all of your love, i.e., not have to share you with another dog in the home, but I’d still like going to Day Care and play dates with my canine friends. Arrange to meet me, and remember, I’ve never met a stranger! Story
Winslow maybe 11 years young but he still has so much life in him. He plays with his foster brother Beemo, both saved from a high kill shelter of Houston. Winslow is a very sweet, calm, extremely loving big baby, who enjoys hanging out in his foster mom's yard, and lay around in the sun. He is also very obedient, housebroken, extremely intelligent, and gorgeous. He doesn't have any guarding tendency and is very submissive. He will do great in a quiet home, with or without another dog. Winslow is about 11 years old, 60 lb, has all his shots, and is neutered, microchipped and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. He is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to many states and even Canada for the right home. To meet this adorable pup, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com

Story
Introducing Coco, a beautiful Boxer mix weighing in at about 24 kg! This sweet girl is well-trained and ready to find her forever family. Coco knows a variety of commands, including sit, down, stay, and she is both kennel and house trained. She responds perfectly to cues and happily goes to her bed when asked. Coco is generally social with other dogs but would thrive as the only pup in the household, where she can soak up all the love and attention. She is great with humans and children, though due to her size, it’s advisable to exercise some caution around smaller kids. Having spent two loving years in a home, Coco's world changed when her owner passed away, leaving her in search of a new family to adore. She is up-to-date with her health protocols and has the bonus of being a low shedder! If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who is eager to share her life with you, Coco could be the perfect addition to your home! ##2242062##
