Sweet little Squash is full of love and is eager to have some fun in a foster home while he recovers from an upper respiratory infection and intestinal parasites. Reason for Foster: Parvo exposure; Upper respiratory infection; Intestinal parasites.Foster Time Frame: 2 weeksFoster Care Plan: Squash came to OPK for monitoring as a result of possible exposure to Parvovirus. Though he has tested negative for that illness, we would like his foster to continue to monitor his condition for the next week. Additionally, he is being treated for intestinal parasites and an upper respiratory infection. It is possible that he is contagious to other animals, so we recommend that he be housed separately from any other animals in the home. He will go home with medications to be given daily and we will provide a medical consult at the time of pick up so that you feel fully prepared to care for this cutie.I am available through our Foster to Adopt program. I adopted Olive when she was 1 year old, she was found as a stray and has been with me ever since, almost 5 years. Shes such a special dog, it was clear when I got her that her first year of life was really rough, she had lots of wounds and so much anxiety, but was always so loving. Shes come a long way in 5 years! Olive is such a people pleaser, incredibly smart and trainable. She is 100% house trained and the perfect companion in the home. She loves to play for hours in the backyard, whether exploring on her own or chasing balls or a frisbee. She will never turn down a long run with dad or a casual walk. Its the hardest decision Ive ever made to work on finding her a new home, but Olive currently has to be boarded 3 weeks a month due to my work travel. We are seeking the right home only, not any home.
