Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 4/7/23, and the pictures were taken on 4/1/23.  Jacoby was picked up by the Smith County, TX Animal Shelter on 8/15/22.  We picked him up on 12/2/22, he was already neutered, estimated to have been born in 2013, and weighed 68 pounds on 4/1/23. Jacoby is a guard dog.  He would be perfect for a single person that he can protect and give lots of love to.  He does not like my husband or teenage son when they try to come to the fenced area that he is in, but if I bring him out of the fenced area on a leash, he will let my husband hold his leash with no problem.  He is great with the other dogs (both genders), good on a leash, loves to be pet, crate trained, and does not dig under or climb fencing.  We don't know if he is house trained. $25 adoption fee, since donations were made for his vet care, and he was already neutered.November 6, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 10/13/23, and the pictures were taken on 10/13/23.  Rory and his family of 3 other dogs were first spotted on our trail camera in June 2023 starving and looking for food.  Rory was the first to get trapped in our live trap.  He is a gentle giant that likes to give bear hugs over my arms when he feels a little frisky, and I have his huge sweet face in my hands praising him.  He is extremely sweet and very sensitive to any hand movement, and lowers his head as if he thinks I'm going to hit him.  He lowers his head a lot, and I've been working on getting him to keep his head up.  He did dig under our fence twice at night until we laid hog panel on the ground, and then he climbed over our 4 foot fence to get to one of the females he was found with while she was in heat after we separated her until she was spayed, but he has stayed inside the fence since his neuter.  He does have a hunting instinct to go after night time wildlife, and has wanted to go after a feral cat we have.  He's not very active, and lays around a lot.  He is good on a leash, and sometimes growls at the other male dogs he is with, but he is good with them.  He should not be with other dominant male dogs though.  We don't know if he is house trained, but he is crate trained.  He does not have a micro-chip, and no owner was found.  He was heartworm positive, is on prevention, and received heartworm treatment on 10/26/23 and 10/27/23.  He was estimated to be 4 years old on 8/8/23 weighing 72 pounds, and he was neutered on 9/22/23 weighing 77 pounds. $70 adoption fee.November 6, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted on 12/7/23, and the pictures were updated on 9/4/24.  Corey was found in Winona, TX on 11/25/23, at CR 370 (Howell Lake Rd.) and Brooks Lane, with a female Border Collie that lives on 18th Ave. in Tyler, TX.  He was already neutered, but does not have a micro-chip, and no owner has claimed him. Corey was born around May 2022, heartworm negative, extremely sweet, loves people, loves getting pet, is good with other dogs, crate trained, and good on a leash.  He has not tried to dig or climb out of our fencing.  He has a slight underbite, has a stub tail, weighed 42 pounds when he was brought to us, and as of 9/4/24 he weighs 60.6 pounds.  He has tried to come inside our door, so he may be house trained.  We don't know how he is with cats. $25 adoption fee.November 6, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
Justice is a resilient and affectionate dog who has overcome a difficult past with grace and resilience. At 34 pounds, she may not be the largest pup around, but her heart is certainly big. Her brindle coat adds to her unique charm, making her stand out in a crowd. With her high energy levels, Justice is always up for an adventure and loves to keep busy. She's currently working on her social skills with other dogs, showing progress in her willingness to play, although she can still be a bit protective of her toys and food. This behavior is understandable given her past experiences, but with patience and guidance, she's learning to share and enjoy the company of her furry friends. Despite enduring a traumatic incident involving animal cruelty, Justice's spirit remains unbroken. Rescued by animal control in Shreveport, LA, she suffered from a deeply embedded rope around her neck, necessitating extensive medical attention. Thanks to the care she received, including the removal of the rope and 200 staples and stitches to heal her wounds, Justice has bounced back with resilience and a zest for life. Justice's affectionate nature extends to people of all ages, making her a wonderful companion for families with children. Her gentle demeanor and loving personality make her a joy to be around, and she thrives on the love and attention she receives from her human companions. Despite her rough start, Justice's story is one of triumph and resilience. With her happy disposition and loving nature, she's ready to embark on a new chapter of her life, filled with love, care, and endless adventures with her forever family. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will fill your life with joy, Justice might just be the perfect match for you.       ##1997031##

Story
Nacho is the only male out of the Taco Bell litter. He’s ready to get away from his crazy sisters and start a life of his own! He’s quite the chicken, he is always cautious and slow to make decisions. He always lets the girls go first but we don’t think it’s because of his manners 🤣 He’s very sweet, gentle and loves cuddles and he’s ready for someone to show him the world and teach him about fun and toys!
