Meet this sweet boy, Georgie (previously Bruno), who was abandoned at a local dog park. One of our volunteers found him with a note attached. He had a family but they could no longer care for him so they left him where they hoped a true dog lover would find him. Fortunately, the plan worked. Georgie is about 11 months old, possibly lab, boxer mix. He is vaccinated and neutered and heartworm negative! He is a sweet boy but like most young pups needs training and exercise. Chevy is so loveable and just a big teddy dog. He is good with children and small dogs. House trained and love to sleep on the corner of your bed, if you let him. If not he will sleep on the floor next to you in his bed. Well behaved. Loves to play ball. Unfortunately, I am moving and unable to keep him. This breaks my heart because I've never had to give up a dog. I love dogs and especially this one. I found him about 5 years ago when he was about 6 months old sitting in the middle of the street around 11pm. I open the door and jump right in the car, just loving on me. I am looking for someone who loves dogs like I do and treat him as family. Love and take care of him. He is updated on all his shots and on monthly heart worm pills. Other than that, he's just a big healthy dog. Gets picky about his food sometime, but when he gets hungry he will eat whatever you give him. Please consider taking him into your home as soon as possible.

She does not really play with other dogs but greatly enjoys their company. She does not care for puppies being in her face and will low growl.Cats? Unknown, but we can test her Kids? Yes! We have 5 kids, ages 7-17. I trust her with any of them. She is very sweet and kind even when she is nervous. She is extremely tolerant.How are they doing with potty training? She is completely house trained.How are they doing in their crate? She does not mind being in her kennel. She is a very good girl, and when we are gone she stays in a bedroom with one of our other dogs. She isn’t kenneled very often.Energy level? LowAny issues with guarding? No. She willingly moves away from her food when dogs or people approach.Leash reactivity? No. She does get nervous on walks, but is much better than she used to be.Fearful? Yes. New situations and fast movements or noises send her scurrying into another room.Aggression? NoneSeparation anxiety? NoAnything else you’d like to add?Honey has likely not been treated kindly in the past. She has heightened nervousness most of the time. New situations are hard for her. When she is nervous she removes herself from the situation and goes to another room. Her nervousness never comes out as aggression. She needs an adopter who is patient and kind and willing to give her lots of time to continue to adjust and understand that she will never be hurt again. She is more nervous around men but has come to initiate contact with her foster dad and older foster brother. Honey would do very well in a home with a very stable dog that could be her emotional support. She would do fine in a home with kids, but I think younger kids would be hard for her bc of their loudness and quick movements. I think Honey might always be a more nervous dog, but she has come a long ways and will likely continue to improve. Despite her anxiety, she is extremely tolerant and gentle. She loves to be loved on and will make an excellent companion for a very patient family.
