Story
Meet Badger! This sweet-faced little guy is ready to steal your heart! He was found as a stray with an injured hip, stumbling and confused. After several specialists evaluated him, it was determined that he is in very good health, and is possibly a distemper survivor. Badger is now ready to live his best life!! Badger has a sweet personality. He has foster siblings both big and small and he LOVES to play with them. He would greatly benefit from having another dog in the home who could continue to support him- he really needs a buddy. When he’s tired, he is content to settle down and sleep at your feet or in a fluffy dog bed. Badger has human siblings, ages 6-16, and he is gentle and kind with all of them. He is food motivated and loves rotisserie chicken. No resource guarding has been observed, and you can remove toys or food from him with no problem. He has no problems on a leash, no aggression either, but we’re not sure about how he is with cats. Badger is excellent in a kennel. He willingly goes in his kennel throughout the day and never makes a peep. He is quiet all night long in his kennel, but he would probably also love snuggling in a bed under the covers! He is almost completely house trained, with only a rare accident, but he is eager to please and will continue to learn. Badger is continuing to learn how to trust people. It is possible that he hasn’t been treated kindly in the past. He will occasionally crouch down when approached, as if he expects something bad to happen. Kind words and gentle pets help reassure him. There is nothing not to love about Badger. He wants to live his best life, and he would bring JOY to any family. Please consider giving Badger his biggest wish- a forever family!!

Story
Meet this sweet boy, Georgie (previously Bruno), who was abandoned at a local dog park. One of our volunteers found him with a note attached. He had a family but they could no longer care for him so they left him where they hoped a true dog lover would find him. Fortunately, the plan worked. Georgie is about 10 months old, possibly lab, boxer mix. He is vaccinated and neutered and heartworm negative! He is a sweet boy but like most young pups needs training and exercise. Check out this video by Georgie's foster  https://vimeo.com/934607900/8e64769336?share=copy If you are interested in adopting this adorable boy who is so deserving of a great home fill out our application right away,  www.scoutshonor.org    November 5, 2024, 1:18 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Chango has found himself needing a new home. His family will miss him, but their living situation is changing. He is a great dog, gets along well with other dogs and loves his people.   Original Bio: Hello everyone allow me to introduce myself. My name is Chango. Lots of changes have been happening in my life lately. I have been wandering the streets looking for food when I was given the greatest opportunity to be fed everyday and even have my own soft, warm bed. I’m still a youngster approximately 1 year old, I’m a little under weight but I love to eat so it won’t take me any time at all to gain some weight. I am heart worm negative and received a clean bill of health. I am well behaved in the kennel. While I am still in the puppy stage I have mastered potty training and I love to run fast. I’m still learning what toys are for-didn’t have too many on the streets. I’m looking for an active home that will play fetch, preferably older kids (just so I don’t knock little ones down) I’m good with other dogs so that would be a plus, I like long walks in the evenings and in exchange I promise to give lots of cuddles and many years of being your best friend. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello! I'm Boerne (Bernie), I'm a nice, handsome fella looking for my furever people! I love my stuffies, but I'd rather not share them, unless I'm playing tug with my people!  I am learning to "leave it" so you can throw it for me too! I enjoy carrying them around with me wherever I go, but will drop them for a back scratchin', hugs, or to chase my bubbles! I LOVE bubbles!! I can get a lot of exercise just chasing them!  I also love care rides and pup cups.  I don't even mind a bath.  I'm pretty easy to please, honestly.  I'm a handsome distinguished gentlemen at around 6 to 7 years old (that's what the vet thinks but I have the energy of a younger man) My foster mama always brags about my excellent listening skills.  I'm great off leash at my country foster home, but will also do well on a walk with a leash.  I know many commands and will even politely shake your hand. I was in a foster home with other dogs, but I wanted to be the KING of the house.  Therefore, I will do best with a home where I am the MAN....like, the only man, dog, critter.  I will reward you with all of my love and affection for the rest of my life! So, if you are looking someone to be your best buddy....I'm your guy.  Apply for Boerne today...you will not be disappointed! He is truly a great pup!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 30, 2024, 7:57 pm

Story
Chip and Bosco were found abandoned together. They play together and sleep together, as one always need to be touching the other. Chip is very quick to learn and he seeks to please. Bosco, though not as quick, is equally willing. Both are loving and gentle souls who seek affection in their own way. They have been with fosters for 3 mo now and have filled in a bit, so maybe they were already a year old and are now 15 mos. They are up to 59 and 62 pounds each. They are up to date on shots, heartworm and flea meds. They both are neutered. They are housebroken and sleep well all night in their separate crates. They walk well on the leash (still working on not tugging) and they are good car riders. They are not afraid of new people and do not show any signs of aggression or trauma. They need a forever home where they can romp and play and grow up together. *The adoption fee is to weed out anyone who might adopt without the best intentions.

Story
Lovey - Boxer mix - Female - 9 months - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Lovey: This GORGEOUS and sweet Boxer mix girl is about 9 months old and full of energy. She is very smart and learns quickly, food motivation certainly helps. She is crate and housetrained, leash training is in progress. She loves to play with balls and is getting a hang of the return-to-sender part for continuous play. She is great with other big dogs, loves to play  and chase and tends to be vocal when doing so. Playing with little dogs needs a little help as she can be a little overwhelming for them. As she is still a pup, she comes with "puppy emotions" - she's a bit dramatic at times, still learning and mouthing and gets her feelings hurt when corrected and redirected. She also recovers really quickly. She also knows how to enjoy calm time and is an expert cuddler. She is good with teens - all of her puppy energy is barely contained when she gets excited and she gets the zoomies and will likely jump and run, so older kids that understand and can navigate her learning process are best suited for her. Lovey is looking for a home with another dog for her to play with, older kids are ok. She can manage a regular work day as long as she gets plenty of exercise, training and attention around working hours - she needs someone who is willing, able and excited to harness her puppy energy and molds it into a well rounded member of the family. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
