Story
“Addie” is a staffie mix with a sad backstory looking for her happy ending. This sweet girl is a lover of all humans, particularly kids! Because of her overly social nature she can be very forward in wanting to greet people and dogs alike on her walks (or the vet, or dog park, or anywhere) but she has not shown aggression or any intent to harm! She is highly food motivated and LOVES training (shake is her favorite!), but is also laid back and content to sun herself outside or lay at your feet for a movie night. She is very smart, so you must manage food access, as she will binge as much as you’ll allow! She does require a secure fence as she will use openings to go play with neighbor dogs if given the chance. Because of her size, we do not recommend her placed with small dogs. She can be pushy with insecure dogs, but is well socialized and enjoys the company of most, although another dog in the home is not a must for her. She does have allergies and maintaining daily medication for her is a must to avoid itching and ear infections. She kennels well and has no anxiety or separation issues, and does well in the house as long as she cannot access food! Would love her very own family! Apply via bit.ly/BellesBudsApp

Story
My name is Isabella, Im a Boxer/Blue heeler mix. Im almost 3 years old. I have alot of energy. Im a working dog but dont have many jobs to do with the family i have now. I havent had much training but I have lots of potential. I would do well on some land as I love to run or have an owner that enjoys the outdoors. I love the dog park and love to swim. I enjoy car rides. I have some cat siblings but I like to chase them away. I would love another big dog to play with as the little ones I tend to run over Im good with kids but a little shy at first. Im kennel trained and like to sleep inside at night.

Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We don't know why Gypsy has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy normally does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She would also prefer a home without annoying toy dogs or puppies that get in her face. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. We would love Gypsy to have a fabulous forever home and we will consider both in-state and out-of-state applications. Her in-state adoption fee is $200. Her out-of-state adoption fee is $450 and includes the cost of ground transport by a trusted and reputable company. Gypsy can be transported almost anywhere within the continental United States. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Please email 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this very good girl. Story
My name is Echo. I used to have a family, and one day we went for a ride. We went to the country, and they let me out to pee and sniff around. I thought we were going to play, because they knew I loved to run! When I looked up, they were gone! I didn't know what to do. I went to the road and walked until I found a house. I wasn't sure what to do, because it wasn't my house. At MY house, I did whatever I wanted! Nobody told me to sit or stay or wait or anything, But I really like people. I like to run, too. I do the best I can, but nobody ever taught me how to be the best. I would so love for somebody to take me running or hiking! Me and a person...that would be so great! That's all I hope for in this world. I'm very strong. I wish a man would meet me and love me! I'd love him forever. Lucies Project requires a phone interviw, please provide your number.

These pups are in Brenham, Texas too!

Story
It may have taken awhile to bring Milton to safety, but thanks to dedication by our animal control officers (and tasty treats!), he is now living in safe shelter with us, his home between homes! Milton is a young pit bull mix (with maybe a little dalmatian mixed in) who now doesn't have to scavenge for food and drink--we have a ready supply of vittles and fresh water all for him! A good bath has highlighted his snow white coat, and those spotted ears and puppy dog eyes beg you to show him some love. We are giving him the love and care he has been missing until his perfect match is found, and we're hoping his wait is a short one! Adopt our Milton and teach him all about human kindness!

Red gold Rufus, one of a litter of older burly pups, has known mostly a kennel life and craves wide open spaces, both indoors and out! Rufus loves to catch some rays and despite his size, enjoys a good lap for lounging! For a youngster, Rufus has an extremely calm demeanor and though shy, he is easing into shelter life and learning kindness from our staff. Next up--charming you to take him home! One gaze into his beautiful hazel eyes and you will want to make it all better for Rufus. Here's your chance to be his hero!
