Story
Hi, my name is Keaton! I came back to Pawmetto Lifeline several years after being adopted as a puppy. My previous owners kept me completely outside, where I never met any humans or dogs, so I am not a huge fan of strangers. But once I get to know you, I am the most loving and affectionate dog! The staff here says I am so sweet and goofy. I would make the perfect companion for someone with a quiet home where I can just be myself. I deserve a home that will make me a part of their family forever. Our adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Tuesday through Saturday. Please complete an application online and you will be contacted if you are approved and a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
We'll also keep you updated on Spot's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Hi, my name is Hooch! My foster found me running around on a busy road and I ended up on his front doorstep. I am a large and loyal guy that really loves my family. I've been having fun with their two female dogs. I'm already crate and potty trained! I'm a little big for a small child but a couple that's adventurous and outdoorsy would be a blast for me. I love to play ball, I just don't bring it back to you! I have the attitude of a puppy so toys and meals and chewies are a must! I am very playful and can entertain myself with almost anything! My playfulness depends on other dogs' playfulness, if they're gentle, I'm gentle, if more energetic, I will match them. A larger dog might be a good idea as a companion, I love to play tug of war too! I am a very good watch dog and will definitely let you know if someone is around. If you're active or have a big yard, we would be a great match! I hope to find my forever family soon!.Hooch is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the $50 adoption fee. Pawmetto Lifeline wants every animal to have a chance to find a loving home. Please fill out an adoption application at https://pawmettolifeline.org/adoption/adoptionapplication/ or contact adoption@pawmettolifeline.org if you would like to meet this animal.

Story
Hi! I am Freeda. I started my life living on a farm. All I had was a crate on the porch with a tarp covering it. I would always share my food with a chicken in the yard. My owner decided he didn't want me anymore and I was rescued by my new foster family.I didn't know how to do much since I had never lived in a house. Now I know how to get on a couch and bed. I'm not scared of being on a leash much anymore...except when I have to go to the Dr., then I don't want to budge! I can always tell how my people are feeling, and when they are down, I stare deep into their eyes so they know how much I love them. I love to snuggle up right beside you on the couch and the bed.Life was great for a year or so with Mom and Dad, but I don't really like other pets in the house, so my living situation became a problem. I really only want to be an only dog. I am used to cats and we are fine together. I haven't been around any children yet.I do have a bad habit of digging. Mom and dad have a fence in their backyard, and I have tried to get out before-they had to reinforce around the bottom to help keep me inside and safe.Do you have room in your heart and home for this sweet girl? Help us to make the rest her life better than her beginning!Freeda is part of our Home to Home Program. Although they are not a Pawmetto Lifeline dog, they have received the same high standards of care. Vaccinations and spay/neuter are included in the adoption fee. Found pet - was unable to locate owners; had him vaccinated, neutered, heartworm tested (negative), and on heartworm prevention. Young adult - so lots of energy and playful; loves people, does need some training/direction. Is definitely reactive to intact males but not really sure how he does with others and have not had him around cats or kids.

Story
My name is Gunther.  It means Warrior.  I’m a little older guy who’s been through some stuff.  When I came here, I was so sick.  I had an upper-respiratory infection, a urinary tract infection, hookworms, heartworms, knee problems…I was so tired…I could barely walk and I was about 20 pounds under weight.  I battled back because I am a warrior.  But they tell me I’m also a goofball.  I like laying on the couch with my people; naps are my favorite thing. And food.  I like that a lot.  My people have cats and the little ones are fun to watch (sometimes the big ones are scary, even for a warrior).  Life is pretty good now, but I think I’d like my own person; one I don’t have to share with so many others.  Would you be my person?  Email AnimalRescueCarolina@yahoo.com to request an application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 25, 2024, 10:50 pm

Story
Kenny loves when the peanut butter box is here!  He was born around 2/7/21 and had the bad luck of being owned by someone who tied him up and let his collar grown into his neck.  They then tied him to a goal post because they did not have the nerve to surrender him to be safe,  Gotta love people!  He is an affectionate boy who walks well on the leash and is desperate for attention, once he is comfortable.  He does start off shy. He is crate trained, knows basic commands and is undergoing training and he LOVES to please his people. Now he is with a cat rescue HaHa!! We just know there is a home out there for this wonderful dog. Black cats! Black dogs! what ya gonna do?Adopt One, that's what!!He has not been exposed to cats but he ignores dogs on his walks and has only shown a tail wag and happy to meet ya! when in closer contact. email us at animalrescuecarolina@yahoo.com for an application or to meet Kenny.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 25, 2024, 10:50 pm
