Story
Health Issues None Temperament - Playful and spirited girl. - People friendly. She may be a bit reserved when first meeting new people but warms up quickly. - Can exhibit some reactivity to other dogs when on-leash or behind a fence, but less as she’s gets older. - With proper introductions and supervised visits, she has enjoyed playtime with other dogs. She does best with calmer dogs that tolerate her rambunctious style of play - Very happy to relax and cuddle once she’s had her required amount of exercise. - Moderate-high prey drive. Likes to chase squirrels and birds. - Can be slightly destructive when bored. - Not much of a swimmer, but she enjoys playing in water. - Responds well to verbal cues and attempts to redirect her attention. - Her leash skills and basic obedience are good. She seems to enjoy one-on-one training sessions. Owner Suitability -Enjoys being a part of day-to-day activities and would benefit from a home in which people are around most of the day. -Would benefit from daily walks and opportunities to play throughout the day. - Loves to be off leash with people. - She would do best in a home with a fenced in yard as she is a curious girl and enjoys opportunities to explore. - Best suited to a home with no other dogs. - Can happily live in a home with cats. She does show occasional interest in playing, but is very respectful of the cat not wanting to engage.

Story
Age: 3 Birthday: December 8, 2021 Weight: 83.5 lbs Up to date vaccinations If you have structure in your life Sadie will fit in seamlessly. She is very sweet and loves to participate in predictable day to day family interactions. Health Issues: Beginning signs of hip dysplasia – no official diagnosis (no medication necessary) but the Vet had flagged it. Managed with a healthy diet, regular walks/exercise and treats for joint mobility. Temperament: - Playful and kind spirited girl. - She guards her food and will become reactive if she thinks another animal will come near her food – we currently feed her in the crate. - She is intelligent and responds very well to training. (As long as the environment is predictable) - Friendly with people when not on a leash. She may be a bit reserved when first meeting new people but warms up quickly. Good with kids but needs to be off-leash when interacting with people. - Can exhibit some reactivity to other dogs and people when on-leash or behind a fence, but responds very well to training. However, when Sadie is in the training mindset she requires space from other animals. - With proper introductions and supervised visits, she has enjoyed playtime with other dogs. She does best with dogs that can tolerate or even enjoy her desire to play rough. - Very happy to relax and cuddle. - Likes to chase squirrels and birds. - Will counter surf when bored or if food is left out. - Not much of a swimmer, but LOVES when you play with the hose. - Responds very well to verbal cues and attempts to redirect her attention. - Her leash skills and basic obedience are good. She seems to enjoy both one on one time and time with the whole family. - She has had daily, structured walks and really loves them. - Loves to play tug of war but does not quite understand the idea of fetch without having treats on hand. Owner Suitability - Sadie needs boundaries set immediately in her new home, and ample outlets for her energy and smarts. She would benefit greatly from enrichment activities and training sessions on a regular basis. - She does not seem to have separation anxiety because she was crate trained her entire life, but she really likes to be around her people. So she would benefit from having some sort of balanced crate schedule (currently she eats and sleeps in her crate and will choose to lay in there when she is tired but otherwise has free roam of the house) - Outdoors Sadie loves to be off leash with training but can be a bit of a wanderer so would benefit greatly from a fence (although she can manage without one when watched closely or leashed). - Best suited for a home with no other pets (or dogs that can tolerate her curiosity). She is gentle most of the time but she is in your face. - She must live in a home with no cats. Cats can be very unpredictable and it spooks her into reactivity. This is a courtesy listing.
