MEET HANDSOME BENJI! Benji is an almost 4-year-old Boxer-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. Benji is very much a couch potato dog in that he loves to lounge on the sofa or sleep on your bed. He's a huge snuggler! He also loves going for car rides! He has done fine around other dogs, but would do well as an only dog, too, because he loves being the center of attention. He's very affectionate, and loves belly rubs. Benji is also an active, strong boy with a prey drive, so he needs a strong owner, and someone who can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. A big, fenced yard would be a plus, but is not a necessity. Overall he's a mellow, easygoing boy, who wants to share his life with you. He weighs about 60 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
Howdy partners! I'm Rocky, the sweetest meatball in the Wild West! I started my journey at Animal Aid after my previous family had a baby who was very allergic to me. The transition has been a little... Rocky ... but I've proven myself to be the most loving, goofy partner in crime to the new people in my life. My nervousness around strangers can easily be worked through with patience, yummy treats, and a good head scratch. Don't be surprised if I sound the alarm when danger approaches our home! I just want to make sure my favorite people are safe. I haven't spent a ton of time with other animals, but I'm very respectful as long as they give me my space and let me warm up to them slowly. I will need to meet any animals in the home before adoption. Older, respectful kids are also totally in my social wheelhouse. I love to play and cuddle with my favorite people - just be prepared for a tank in your lap. My favorite toys are squeaky balls and anything that I'm allowed to chew up and shred. I could chew all day long, but I'm great about knowing what I am not allowed to destroy. I'm looking for a home with either a fenced yard or a quiet neighborhood. I'm still working through some mild fear of the sights and sounds that I encounter on leashed walks outside of my comfort zone. I've been getting very adventurous, but loud noises are still spooky. A personal yard to zoom and play would be perfect for keeping me in the best mental and physical shape. Even better if you're home more than you're away so that we can hang out all the time. There's a reason that I'm a staff favorite, and it's because I have the biggest heart in the world. Because I may take a bit to warm up to a new environment and routine, the Animal Aid team is happy to provide a foster-to-adopt arrangement and cover initial training resources to make sure I have the best chance of success! Apart from some meds I take for environmental allergies, I'm very healthy and ready to take on the world. I'm in a foster home so please fill out an adoption application at www.animalaidpdx.org to meet me.My estimated birthdate is 9/1/2020. 75lbs.

Story
Cue the music for My Girl, My Girl, My Girl, talking about My Girl...... Cherie! The most gentle, loving, and loyal pup on the block! Fostered in Houston,TX, My Girl Cherie is 8 years young, only 45 portable pounds (but could stand to gain a few more), and will be ready to travel to her forever home as early as 2/27/2025! We think she is a pit bull boxer mix, but with rescue it's always best guess. If her adopters do a DNA test we would enjoy learning the results! Cherie currently shares her home with a family that has small children, and she ADORES them! Cherie is so incredibly gentle and loves being on the receiving end of their kisses, hugs, and giggles galore! She even lets them dress her in cute little outfits! Cherie also peacefully shares her home with cats and another pup, but she would much prefer to be the princess of her castle and soak up all the love for herself. Nothing short of what she absolutely deserves! That being said, the right family with the right dog and/or cat, could be a possibility. Cherie is super easy to walk on leash and would enjoy some leisurely strolls through the neighborhood, or local park, but doesn't need a ton of exercise. So she is the perfect companion for a family that has slowed down a bit, or who prefer the quiet life of couch snuggling and binge watching marathons, rather than a bunch of hustle and bustle. Cherie rides well in the car, and is fully house and crate trained! Though she may protest just a little because her favorite thing is to be out with her people! We can really see Cherie in a home with some kids to call her own, but she loves her adults just as much! Making her a very adaptable buddy for a variety of families! Cherie could likely live in an apartment, but stairs should be a consideration. She would probably love her own yard to sunbathe in on those warm spring and summer days, as she gets excited and does these adorable little jumps to go outside! Wherever she ends up calling "home", Cherie is poised to spend her Golden Years giving all of the love and quiet companionship that Senior dogs are especially known for. Story
Meet Abbey LIverpool! She is currently 7 months old, and we think she may be a Boxer/Pittie mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Abbey's video here: It will just take one look into Sweet Abbey's soulful liquid eyes to see what a delicate charmer this girl is. Abbey's ears will tell you everything you need to know - when she's feeling shy, when she's interested in a treat, and when she's most in need of a cuddle and snuggle (which we live for, lol). Abbey loves soft stuffies and squeaky toys, but will forego all of that for belly rubs or lap time with you. (Don't tell her that she doesn't fit in your lap, because she doesn't endorse that kind of negativity, lol. If any part of her sits, she fits.) Abbey is currently in a loving foster home with her two sisters and loves to play and nap with her siblings. This gorgeous girl is quite mellow and laid-back and we admire her loving and gentle personality (and we know you will too). Abbey is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/676d739b43fd1cb89a026ac2 Please email jacquelynn@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Tootsie Pop is sweeter than her namesake and twice as cute! We believe Tootsie is a Black Lab, Boxer mix, though she is a rescue so these are simply our best guesses. Tootsie is estimated to be around a year old and weighs in at a slight 49 pounds, the perfect size for lap sitting. Fall in love with Tootsie here: https://youtu.be/gUOPnVcb2aU?feature=shared Tootsie is currently fostered in a loving home with two big pitties and two tiny chihuahuas. She does well with everyone in the house- playful with the pups that wish to play, and respectful and kind toward the grumpier, older pups that wish for peace. Here at the rescue, she did wonderfully with the other dogs she met. Her joyful energy even got a rarely playful long-stay-rescue-dog to play chase with her! In her forever home, we think a goofy male would be the best doggy-sibling match for her. Her foster mom brags that she is crate trained and seems to be fully potty trained- she does not have accidents indoors. She does well in her crate and will go in for a little treat! Tootsie is super smart, she knows “sit” and she’s picking up on leash training quickly. She will need a confident leash walking human to teach her the ropes, she’s new to the whole “well loved dog” thing, but eager and excited to learn. A huge fan of the finer things in life, Tootsie loves toys. Nylabones, stuffies, chews- you name it! She shares her toys well with the other dogs in the home too. While we haven’t seen Tootsie with kids just yet, we think she would be an amazing family dog for a home with kids 10+. She loves going places with her foster family, and has met kids at events and done well with them. From the moment you meet her, Tootsie is such a warm and friendly pup with so much love to give. She is so confident in new places, and always ready for the next adventure- now she’s ready for her forever home. We think Tootsie would do best in a house over an apartment. We believe she would enjoy a more active family that will take her places and spend time with her. We don’t recommend her for a home with kitties. Tootsie is everything you could want in a dog, and she’s ready to be yours! We are willing to test Tootsie with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? MEET SARAH. This very sweet and stocky Pit Bull Terrier was given up by her owner recently due to marital problems in the home. This was devastating for Sarah, who was adopted at only 8 weeks old, and now is about 3 years old. Sarah also lost her canine pals when her home fell apart. She is clearly overweight - she weighs about 75 pounds and is now on a diet! :) She loves kids and other big dogs, but does not do well with cats or little dogs. Despite her sad story, Sarah is adjusting well and is truly a lovebug. She needs a foster or forever home. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET TOBY - Toby is a handsome and shy blue Pit Bull Terrier, who has been waiting almost three years for a home. He was rescued from a shelter and was the longest shelter resident at the time, and stayed there about four months. Toby seems like a sad dog - he rarely smiles and that's because his person or people have not come along yet. He is a sweetheart with people, and loves human attention and affection. He knows how to sit and shake, and he loves toys. Toby can be reactive on a leash, so may do best as the only dog in a home. He is a strong boy, though only weighs about 55 lbs. Toby currently needs a foster or forever home. Can you help him? Please email for an application.

Story
HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON! I'M MARCY! I'm a sweet and lovable 8-year-old female red & white Pit Bull Terrier in need of a new home. There are a few things you should know about me. First, I truly do prefer to be an only dog, though would likely do well with a male pal, as I had one before. But I love people and am very loyal. I also love being petted, rubbed and given lots of affection. Secondly, I was attacked by another dog about a year ago and lost part of my nose, but this does not impact me one bit. I only look a little funny but it doesn't change my lovable personality. I have been waiting a long time for a home because apparently, nobody wants a funny looking dog who would love to be the only dog in the home. So if you can look past my imperfections, I would love to be your companion. I'm still very active and would be happy to go for walks and hikes. Can you foster or adopt me? I am currently looking for a foster or forever home. I weigh 64 lbs. Please email for an application.
