Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. He will be a medium to large dog as an adult. Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old. Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots). Rubble is the sole survivor. He will be special needs throughout his life. He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans? When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper. He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides. He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects. He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap. He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health. Hello, meet Mona. I’ve had her since she was just a puppy, she was gifted to me by a coworker. She will be turning 6 this year, her birthday is on Halloween! Mona is a very sweet, silly and lazy dog. If you are a couch potato, she is a couch potato. But she is always ready to play. Mona’s biggest struggle is separation anxiety. She will need to go to a home with someone patient and compassionate who is willing to work on this with her and who is not gone for longer than a regular work day. She does need to be in a crate anytime you are not home as she can be destructive. She will come with an Impact crate. She will benefit from being the only pet as she is aggressive to my cat and has never been able to be around her despite being raised being exposed to her all the time. Mona is a challenge, but the love and sweetness she exudes is worth it. She will need to go home to an experienced pet owner who can accommodate her needs and love her despite them.
