Story
Marian is a 1-year-old black and white pittie mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! 💖 Whether it’s long walks on the beach, hiking, or just splashing around in the sprinkler, Marian is ready to be your partner in all things fun and adventurous! Marian is an incredibly good girl who gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, dogs, and even chickens! She loves watching the chickens throughout the day and being gentle with everyone around her. Marian is quiet and peaceful, enjoying tranquility but also loving playtime, especially with kids. Her foster family says she’s a darling, looking for her forever family to share love and joy with. Marian dreams of a family with kids who want to play and a yard where she can run and explore. She enjoys pack walks with her seven foster mates and does great with leash greetings in the yard. Marian is working on her crate training and loves to tuck herself into her crate with her toys or curl up for a rest. She gets along famously with all the dogs in her foster home, especially the Chihuahua! While she needs a bit of leash work, Marian corrects easily and loves learning new things. When it comes to cats, Marian had a little interest in our resident cat at first, but once he jumped up into the cat tree, she let it go. At home, she has no interest in the cats and even gets bullied by a new one without reacting. 🐾 Marian is still a young pup, so she needs a family ready to commit to training, socialization, and all the fun (and chaos) that comes with puppyhood. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Marian is a quick learner eager to master new skills every day. Her intelligence and willingness to please make her a joy to train. She’s perfect for walks, hikes, and showing off around the neighbourhood. Marian is a star in the making! 🌟 Ready to make memories and share endless adventures? Adopt Marian and embark on a journey filled with fun, love, and joy! 🐾💕 https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/66a290a863fe2b6f240eaec6 Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
Meet Rio, a pocket sized boxer mix that is attentive and loyal to people. Rio is a well-behaved dog who walks beautifully on a leash, needing only minimal corrections. He’s people-focused, often checking in with his handler during walks and around other dogs. He would love to go on hiking adventures or walks around the neighborhood. Rio could live in apartment due to his smart size and leash skills. But a home with a yard to roam in would be enjoyable for him too! Rio is gentle and relaxed, accepting touch with ease and even allowing himself to be picked up and carried without fuss. He does well with a quick verbal correction and shows no signs of resource guarding affection. While he gets along fine with cats when they’re on the ground, he may chase them if they jump onto high surfaces, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Rio is best suited for a home with a medium to low-energy dog or with a family where he can enjoy being both independent and affectionate. He would do well with kids and would make a great family dog! If you're looking for a loyal and attentive companion, Rio might just be the perfect match for you! Story
Kobi is a gentle soul who may initially be a bit reserved but opens up quickly once he feels secure. Though he can be shy outside his comfort zone, he walks well on a leash and adjusts easily to gentle corrections- but he does need a strong handler on walks. Kobi has lived with other dogs large and small. He prefers the ladies and submissive males. Unfortunately, Kobi does not get along with cats, as his curiosity tends to get the best of him in those situations. He can enjoy the company of goats and chickens, with whom he has shown friendliness. Adventures? Kobi loves car rides and loads and unloads with ease! He stands on the seat greeting you (he will need to be buckled in so he doesn’t end up in your lap). Kobi enjoys listening to music in the car and will even let you pick the radio station! He also loves golf cart rides! Kobi’s ideal home would be a peaceful environment with a yard to run around. Chasing sticks is a favorite pastime of his- but he’s not really a fan of toys. When he wants the attention of his humans he will bark, making him a poor candidate for an apartment! If this sweet and loyal older gentleman sounds like he could be your new best friend, apply below and a coordinator will reach out to see if you are a match! Snoopy has a striking look and goofy personality. He is such a sweet boy who loves toys and lights up when you talk sweet to him or start to love on him. You can see him coming, tail-wagging and on a mission for some love, its adorable, but once you touch him you will see the wiggles. His whole body wiggles in happiness and that same wiggle will show up when he has a loved toy in his mouth. And if you can be flexible on what you play fetch with, replace the ball with a lovie, then you have yourself a fetch boy for sure! We estimate Snoopy to be right around 2 years old and he currently weighs 56 lbs and we expect his weight to settle in around 60-65 lbs. Breed and age are something in rescue we cannot guarantee but we suspect he is possibly a pittie/boxer/dojo mix, but definitely a guaranteed cutie boy. When introduced to new dogs Snoopy was happy and excited and a bit goofy. Its almost like he doesn’t know is this a handshake moment? A high-five? A hug? We have all been there! He is a good boy and once off leash and playing he is a happy bouncy playmate. The dog pairing that he seemed to enjoy the most was with a calm female who was happy to play but took breaks often. Snoopy will thrive in a home with a yard where he can show off his budding fetch skills and sun himself. Another dog would be great but isn’t needed, Snoopy adores people and will be content with the love of his family a few good toys. However, he’s a no-go for feline friends—his goofy approach to greetings would cause him to chase a cat and that is not way to make a friend. Snoopy has all the makings of a wonderful companion and family dog, with the steady-legged ages and up would be best so he doesn’t knock over a little with all of his wiggle. This boy is going to light up when he sees you and coming home to that wiggle butt everyday is going to make for a pretty sweet life for you both. If you are ready for love and laughs and a loyal companion, Snoopy is just as ready! Adopt him today and get to living the next best chapter together! If you have any questions or would like us to test Snoopy in a specific setting, please get in touch. We can make most anything happen to ensure he is the correct fit for you and your life! If you are looking for a toy-loving family girl who comes pre-loaded with The Good Girl Package-(which includes basic commands, house-trained, crate-trained, and solid house manners) it is your lucky day! You have found Clover, no four-leaf clover but you sure are lucky to have found her. See her in action here then come back to read more about her- https://youtu.be/QB-krIJ2nE4 Clover is currently a pint-sized girl with a touch more growing to do. Weighing 42 lbs (Oct. 2024) we believe she will top out around 50 lbs full grown. We believe she may be a boxer/shepherd mix and is in the 7-8 month range. Of course in rescue these details are offered as educated observations/ sophisticated guessing so we cannot guarantee wither detail. We do guarantee the love and snuggles you are looking for as we head into those cold-weather days. Clover is fortunate to be spending the days she is waiting to be adopted in a loving and dedicated foster home. Not only does this absolutely set her up for success but it gives us a front-row seat to her developing skills and personality. Her foster family has shared that she is a quick learner, adjusting to new routines and learning commands with ease. Her foster home is a typical family home with two kids and a few other pets so she is being socialized and exposed to so many of the elements of a busy home. She still isn’t entirely sure about the vacuum but we all agree that it is understandable. My favorite detail, that you will see in her profile video, is her love of toys and her content approach to entertaining herself. She is very affectionate and would happily spend her time with her people but she can easily throw around her own toy which is a top 10 on adorable things a dog can do. When meeting new dogs she was able to greet politely on leash. Once off leash she was bouncy and playful, taking a liking to a similar age dog. She enjoys rounds of chase and knows how to take breaks and read dogs that were not interested in playing. Given her age she would love a playful playmate but with continued socializing, dedicated playtime, and exercise she will be a perfect solo-dog companion. When introduced to our house-cat she was very polite but did play-bow and politely “invited” the cat to play. Given she is young and displays a cat-tolerance, with slow intros and clear boundaries, we believe she could live with a feline-friend. Clover would thrive in a home with a yard where she has room to move and play, maybe even master fetch. Her foster family has been working with her on all the qualities it takes to be a good house dog, so she’s ready to fit right into a loving home. This sweet girl has so many qualities any dog lover will enjoy and she is ready for adoption! If you are interested in Clover and have any questions about her or the adoption process please email kathleen@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non- profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Story
Koda is a 3 year old Boxer/Husky mix who is looking for his furever home. He loves to sit on the couch and watch tv, go for walks, play with other dogs and just be loved. Koda is very athletic and needs space to run. He is great with other dogs and kids, in fact he would prefer a home with both. If you are looking for a sweet/loving/loyal family dog, Koda is your guy! Rehoming because my job requires more hours.
