Ember has been with us since Feb 29, 2024. We just know that her forever family is out there!!! Because she has been at the shelter for so long and considers it her home, her new family will need to be very patient and understanding. Our precious girl is about 10 years old and is a Boxer mix. Ember is very very picky about her furry friends so she would do best in a home with no other animals. Ember is very sweet with people and wants to always be in your company. She loves any toy that squeaks!! Ember unfortunately came into our care with some old injuries. She has two torn ACL’s which could have been repaired way back when it first happened. But now that she is 10 years old, her hips have arthritis. Her knees are too weak to do surgery on her hips, and vice versa, her hips are too weak to do surgery on her knees. The best thing for Ember at this point is for pain management which is simply done with one one pain injection monthly. She has been sponsored so she is free to an APPROVED HOME. Darcy is a sweet and happy big girl.  Although she is older, she has lots of love to give a new owner or family.  She is taking thyroid medication, joint supplements and pain meds for her knees since she was very overweight when we got her.  She has slimmed down some thanks to diet and her thyroid being regulated again.  She cannot be around cats.October 24, 2024, 12:50 pm

"Buddy" is definitely a kennel favorite. Even though we all adore him, after months of waiting, he finally got adopted, only to be returned within 48 hours for "Pulling on the lead." Even though he was probably confused as to what was happening, "Buddy" came back to the ESPCA with his "smile," and hasn't lost it. He is a smart boy who loves to play out in the yard. He does get along well with other dogs that are respectful and not in his face. This guy is always happy, and one we question why was a stray we pulled from Animal Welfare. "Buddy" was heartworm positive and completed his treatment. The ESPCA will ensure he is heartworm negative before finalizing adoption, but he can be placed in a foster to adopt home. "Buddy" is medium sized and steady at 40 lbs. You definitely need to visit him in our kennels Tuesday - Saturday 12 pm - 3 pm, and submit your application at enidspca.org
