Story
Button was given this name because she is cute as a button. She is a doll and just wants to be near you, that is once she knows she is safe. She was picked up with zipper because she's in heat and they were not being safe. He was chasing her all through the park. She is a small sturdy girl and loves to be pet. She is potty trained and is working on leash skills. She doesn't like the collar or the leash but to is learning that it's ok and not scary.

Story
Brownie and his sister Rio are very attached and would love to be adopted together. They can be separated but that would not be the best case scenario for Rio specifically. Brownie is a very sweet, loving, affectionate guy who just wants all the rubs from humans. He does amazing on leash and is completely kennel trained. He does well with friends with a proper introduction. He can get an attitude through a fence but with a proper introduction he loves to run and play. Brownie has met our facility farm cat through a protective kennel door and did not act friendly so feline friends would be best kept safe away from Brownie. He is a very calm dog usually and just wants to lay in the yard and sun bathe with his sister. There are times that he just does not want to come inside, we think he was banished to the outdoors in his past. Boxers do not do well in heat and cold so he must have the ability to get inside if he desires. He can be a barker when he sees other dogs through the fence. He does have a tail and the SOFTEST fur you have ever felt on a boxer! Brownie's optimal situation would be one with a dog door where he and his sister Rio can go in and out all day as they please. If you would like to come meet Brownie & his sister Rio please visit our website for more information or to fill out an adoption application. Www.shannonfarmz.org

Story
Roxy was a stray and the shelter picked her up in October and she was returned back to her family at that time. She got out again the shelter picked her up and the family refused to Reclaim her because she was covered in mange. The shelter treated her for the mange, giving her medicated bath and medication until she had a clean skin scrape. She is the sweetest, happiest little girl who loves to play tag, but will not return The toy or drop it. She loves to be touched and scratched her skin is still healing and it's itchy. She is so happy she bounces when she walks. She's been walking on a leash like a pro since we got her. She has learned weight and crate and goes right in, but she refuses to sit consistently, no matter what kind of treat you have in her hand. She is a true joy and would make any family without cats complete.

Story
This boy was dumped at an oil field. An oilfield worker "saved him by chaining him to a tree while he was away at work. The worker became aware that he was not giving the dog enough attention and surrendered him to a shelter who contacted us. We are the luckiest people that he is the best boy you could ever want. He is deaf, but he is attentive and very, very smart. He is a quick learner. He's already learned sign for number one and number two bathroom, sit and wait and has learned to walk on a leash like a champ. He hates The great, but he does OK once he's in there as long as he doesn't see you. He likes to be touched and loves treats. His attentiveness makes him easy to train because he's constantly checking in. He would make any Home an amazing one because he loves everybody he meets, except cats.

Story
Bo is a stray that was brought into Fur Ever Friends Rescue & Doggie Day Care. He is a friendly. He will need a 6 ft fence. He loves to explore. He is really sweet and loves attention. Please research this breed of dog before considering adopting. First submit an application. Once the application has been received. You will be contacted so we can set up an appointment for you to meet your new best friend. You will need to submit veterinary references and have a fenced in yard. If you currently have other dogs, the following information can help you with introductions. 1.The first introduction between ND and ED should be outdoors in the yard or driveway. Though this is ED’s territory, it is more neutral than inside the house. 2. After the first introduction, immediately take ND and ED on a short walk together. Then bring them inside and feed them a small meal together. Both dogs should be leashed for this so that you can keep them from interfering with the other dog’s food. This sets a precedent for ND being a part of the pack and routine. 3. All interactions between ND and ED need to be positive. If this means they only interact for a few minutes at a time to sniff each other, then this is all they should get. Frequent, positive interactions, especially in the first few days, are vital to having a successful integration.

Story
Snuggles’ story is one of heartbreaking neglect, resilience, and the power of love to heal even the deepest wounds. This 2-year-old pittie was found abandoned, left on a chain to die. He had never received any vet care, and his broken body told a story of unimaginable hardship. His teeth are cracked to the root and will likely need to be removed, he tested positive for heartworm, and he was completely emaciated, his frail frame covered in pressure sores from sleeping on the cold, hard ground. Despite all he's endured, Snuggles has shown nothing but love and gratitude since being rescued. Now living in a home for the first time, he is discovering the joys of comfort and care. He appears to be mostly potty trained, loves nothing more than curling up in a pile of soft blankets, and gets a kick out of dressing up in cozy outfits. His playful, fun-loving personality shines through, reminding us all that love can overcome even the darkest pasts. Snuggles is still learning to trust and is unsure of other dogs, but his only true requirement is love. He craves human affection and is happiest when he’s by your side, soaking in the warmth and kindness he's been missing for so long. This sweet boy is on his way to a brighter future, and his journey is a testament to the resilience of rescue dogs. With the right family to show him unconditional love, Snuggles will continue to blossom into the joyful companion he was always meant to be.

Story
Patrick is one of our visitors we are helping house from the Choctaw rescue fire at FurEverFriends. He had some nose scraps and a leg injury upon arrival but he is 100% healed and ready to go. He is a gorgeous champagne color. His only real downfall is his huge muscle tail. Anyone who has owned a Pitt knows those tails can clear a coffee table in one swoop. We are still getting to know him with friends but so far everyone he has been with, boy or girl and big or small, he has done well with under supervision. He has only talked back to one large male but didn’t react negatively. His hair stood up and he presented a low growl for the male to get out of his space. He and that male are kenneled side by side with no issues. He likes to ride with his head in your lap in the car. Does pretty well on leash, pulls a little. Potty trained and kennel trained. He has slight allergies as most Pitts do. Gets benadryl in his breakfast and that gets him through the day. Patrick would love a warm couch and loving owner to curl up with and watch tv. He is one of those loving, affectionate pitts that will lick your skin off if you let him.
