Story
Hi! My name is Buddy Guy. I was 8 months old when I came 'round these parts from Georgia. I was lost and forgotten and not given much learnin' that was until MVPC found me. I was desperate for help and they gave all that to me and something I never had before, the feeling of safety. I am forever grateful for their help. I must move on they told me and find a forever family to help build me into the best dog that I can be. I know right off, that I am a large boy. I am tall. Currently holding around 80lbs. I am under 2 years old. I LOVE TO PLAY, PLAY, PLAY, AND DID I SAY PLAY? My off button works, but you have to stay on top of me! My foster momma said that I didn't get the rearing that I needed those first 8 months at all! I don't understand all that, but I do know my foster momma has worked with me a whole lot. I've gotten better. I need a patient family who is willing to continue to work with me. I would like some older kids and a younger dog that can keep up with me and not get mad at me and hurt me. I don't know anything about all that fighting. If you have a meany don't look at me! I want to play! Move on, sweetheart! Much love to you. If you want more info on me let MVPC know and my foster momma will be happy to provide it to you. ADOPTION FEE: $300 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 1/9/23 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Yes, but can be solo CATS: Yes CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $300 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/INQUIRY/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding! Story
It's time for  a very special introduction....our sweet, special boy Samson, or as his foster family calls him... Scooter &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  Scoot came to the rescue in February of 2023 as a puppy. He's an extra special guy with some extra special needs.  He's mostly paralyzed in the back end and is also incontinent...but let us tell you, that doesn't slow him down one bit! He is silly and playful and extra sweet.  Upon entering his foster home, Scoot started hydrotherapy, which has helped him immensely. He's able to use his back legs some but mostly scoots around and still needs a wheelchair for walks and outings.  In addition, Scooter went to a neurologist in Columbus so we could figure out what caused this and if it was fixable. We got our answer pretty quickly... Neosporosis.  Neospora is a parasite that was passed to him in utero from his mom. It paralyzes muscles. He started antibiotics immediately to kill the parasite and keep it from doing further damage. We can't fix Scoot, he is how he is...which is PERFECT!  Scooter is almost finished with his antibiotics, but still takes daily meds to help with his urinary incontinence, probiotics, and a joint supplement.  He is loved beyond measure in his foster home, even though he's  a little "extra." However, the time has come to let him spread his wings and fly in his forever home &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Samson is great with other digs, kids and cats. He is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. Story
Hi, I'm Bubba. I am a boxer/pit mix and I'm around 9 years old. I weigh between 60-65 pounds and would be your next lap cuddle buddy if you let me. I love belly scratches and ear massages. I currently live with two little kids and they play all over me. I have had play dates with other dogs and love to run around with them. Smaller dogs are better as I am not so sure about larger dogs. I enjoy being outside and running around. I love to go on walks but need a little training on the leash. I am a sucker for dog biscuits/treats and happily will sit, shake, and lay down to receive them. Due to my past, I have separation anxiety so someone who is around a lot or works from home would be ideal. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home.
