Story
Hello! We see that you are interested in Humphrey. Every day we are getting to know more about Humphrey and his unique quirks and personality. He has lived with other dogs in his previous home and done amazing with them. So far we have noticed how great he is with other dogs. He has been amazing with all the dogs we have had him in playgroups with. His true personality shines when he is with other dogs. He is a very sweet boy. Once he gets to know you he loves to snuggle up and give kisses. He is sure to melt your heart. He has been around and lived with children ages 0+ and has done well with them. Humphrey was crate trained and house broken when he came to us, but may need a refresher due to being in a shelter setting. He is a very active boy and will need plenty of space to run and play. While Humphrey does know a few commands such as sit and wait, he would greatly benefit from consistent and ongoing training, to keep him being the best boy he can be. Are you interested in getting to know Humphrey? Please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit him and all our adoptable pets.

Story
Meet Maxwell, a 2-year-old energetic and affectionate lapdog who has spent over a year and a half at the shelter. This handsome boy is eager to learn and grow with the right family. He loves to jog next to our volunteers, often carrying a toy in his mouth, and is always ready for a game of catch.Maxwell knows “sit” and is learning “stay” and “down.” Though he may pull on the leash at first, he quickly settles into a steady walk. He’s housebroken, vocal, and affectionately known as our “kissing bandit” for his love of showering people with attention.Maxwell still has plenty of puppy energy and would thrive with consistent training and guidance. A meet-and-greet is a must with any kids or four-legged family members to ensure the perfect fit. Don’t let this vibrant, young dog spend another day in the shelter—he’s ready for his forever home!Maxwell is also available for foster or for a Paw Pass Adventure! Story
Luna Bean is a sweet, spunky girl who’s the perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly love. With her curious nature and a heart full of affection, she’s ready to find her forever throne! She’s a big fan of squeaky toys, ropes for tug-of-war, and any excuse to shower you with kisses. While she may be cautious around loud, unexpected noises, she warms up quickly and will happily share all her love once she knows she can trust you.Luna Bean is the kind of gal who’s up for an adventure—she’d thrive in an active home where she can continue perfecting her leash skills (although, fair warning, she might decide where the walk goes!). After a fun day of activities, all she wants is to curl up next to her favorite human for some quality snuggle time. She’s done well with dogs and kids in the past but would love to meet your crew first, just to make sure everyone’s a perfect match. Luna Bean is house-trained but might need a quick refresher after her time in the shelter.Ready to meet this sweet queen? Adopt Luna Bean or take her out for a Paw Pass Adventure today! Cletus is a loving guy who like to give kisses and getting belly rubs all day long. Cletus likes to play with different types of toys or curl up on the couch under a blanket with his foster family. Cletus is crate trained and hasn't had many accidents in his foster home. Cletus is currently fostered in Cincinnati, Ohio. His adoption fee is $275.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
