This is Stanley. Stanley came to us in June, abandoned after his owner was evicted. Stanley is rarely asked about and we are eager to find him a loving home. He is the “eyes and ears” of the pound and a bit of a nark! If he can instigate and get someone in trouble, he will do it! Stanley can also jump a chain link fence and should not be left outside by himself. He has been dog selective while at the pound and as always, any kids or dogs in the home will need to come in for a meet and greet. Stanley is a curious, friendly guy and is getting impatient waiting for someone to choose him!

We DARE you to say no to Slash and his pitiful puppy dog eyes. Slash came to us as a stray back in August. We think he’s 10-11 months old. He weighs 58 lbs and looks like he still has a little bit of growing to do. We are guessing he’s a boxer mix, possibly with a little mastiff in there somewhere. Slash is a blast! He loves to play and can easily be bribed with food. We think he would do well in a home with kids or dogs, and can cat test if needed. He’s painfully cute and deserves to be in a warm, cozy home and not in a crate at the pound. We hope our guilt trip worked and you’ll come meet this sweet boy!

Boone is a 54 lbs Boxer mix. He is friendly and seems to be ok with other dogs....he loves to play. He will need to meet any new housemate prior to adoption being approved. Boone is around 1 yr old. We do not know how he is with cats or children. He keeps his kennel area clean for the most part but will have accidents on occasion. Gunner has been with us since he was a puppy, he is now 7 years old. He went through professional dog training. He is very healthy, we have had no serious issues with him. He is trained to stay in his bed during the day, he walks very well on a leash. He does not run away if he is setoff the leash and does nog have a barking habit. We are looking to rehome him because we travel for work year round and with two small kids it has come to a point where we are not giving him the attention a dog needs. We feel it would be best for him to get the pets, walks, and play time he deserves. He is more calm now in his older age, but when he senses playtime his puppy energy still comes out. Gunner used to live with two other dogs, when we board him he always gets a good report card. They tell us he does very well with other dogs. He has been crate trained in the past however we have not had him in one in a good 5 years.

Connie is quite the underdog. Living chained to a trailer and sleeping in deep mud, Connie produced litter after litter of puppies while never receiving any vet care whatsoever. The family finally agreed to surrender her and her only surviving pup (who was living in a small crate outdoors, and has now been adopted).Connie came to us emaciated and positive for several internal parasites, including heartworm and tick diseases. After several months of vet care, Connie is now heartworm free!!!Everyone at the vet loves Connie and her happy personality. Connie is good with other dogs but often intimidates dogs with her strong personality until they get to know her.Connie is approximately 45 pounds. She does have 'weak knees' which cause her to walk with stiff back legs on occasion. This is managed with oral medication as needed for pain.
