This is Stanley. Stanley came to us in June, abandoned after his owner was evicted. Stanley is rarely asked about and we are eager to find him a loving home. He is the “eyes and ears” of the pound and a bit of a nark! If he can instigate and get someone in trouble, he will do it! Stanley can also jump a chain link fence and should not be left outside by himself. He has been dog selective while at the pound and as always, any kids or dogs in the home will need to come in for a meet and greet. Stanley is a curious, friendly guy and is getting impatient waiting for someone to choose him!

She is terrified of men; we believe there was some abuse present in her past. She has her guard up, but with time and patience she opens up quickly. Lila. Is. So. Cute. Somebody needs to take this girl home! Lila came to us from the Marion County Dog Pound, where she was originally brought in as a stray. After waiting a couple of months, we knew we had to have her and transferred her to our facility! Lila’s splotchy nose and squishy face make her painfully adorable! She loves to play and will soak up any attention you give her. She likes other dogs and will make a fun addition to your pack! Lila appears to be deaf, but deaf dogs can easily be trained with hand signals and some extra patience! Any kids in the home will need to understand that Lila can’t hear them, and will need to be careful about sneaking up on her. Lila is super friendly and outgoing, and would likely do well in a home with kids who understand her!More information? Boone is a 54 lbs Boxer mix. He is friendly and seems to be ok with other dogs....he loves to play. He will need to meet any new housemate prior to adoption being approved. Boone is around 1 yr old. We do not know how he is with cats or children. He keeps his kennel area clean for the most part but will have accidents on occasion. Connie is quite the underdog. Living chained to a trailer and sleeping in deep mud, Connie produced litter after litter of puppies while never receiving any vet care whatsoever. The family finally agreed to surrender her and her only surviving pup (who was living in a small crate outdoors, and has now been adopted).Connie came to us emaciated and positive for several internal parasites, including heartworm and tick diseases. After several months of vet care, Connie is now heartworm free!!!Everyone at the vet loves Connie and her happy personality. Connie is good with other dogs but often intimidates dogs with her strong personality until they get to know her.Connie is approximately 45 pounds. She does have 'weak knees' which cause her to walk with stiff back legs on occasion. This is managed with oral medication as needed for pain. She has not had any accidents, has no desire to get on furniture, she is curious, but not at all destructive. She is also a very gentle dog that loves her toys, but does not destroy them.
