Ashley came to us after her owner went into the hospital and could not care for her. She had a huge mammary tumor removed and is healing nicely. Ashley is very outgoing and loves playing with toys. She also loves her couch time! Ashley needs to be the only pet in the home. Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org

Story
We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting pre-applications If you are interested in adopting, you can find the pre-application form under the 'Adoption Center' tab on our website: medinacountyspca.com. Please email your completed application to info@medinacountyspca.com. Here’s how the process works: - Submit Your Pre-Application: Complete the form on our website and email it to us. - Application Review: We will review your application, and if approved, one of our staff members will contact you. - Meet and Greet: We will set up a time for you to come and meet the puppies. Please note that meet and greet adoptions are by APPOINTMENT ONLY. If you show up before the puppies are ready or before your appointment, you will not be able to see them. - First Approved, First Served: The first approved application will have the first choice of puppy. The second approved application will choose from the remaining puppies, and so on. If you have a preference for a certain gender, please specify on your application. However, specifying a preference does not reserve a puppy—it's still first come, first served. - Final Adoption Process: If approved, we’ll finalize the adoption process and prepare your new puppy for their new home. Before you apply, please ensure you're ready for the long-term commitment of 12-15 years. Puppies require time, patience, and dedication—potty training and daily care are all part of the journey. Please ensure everyone in your household is on board with a new pet. If you're ready to take on these responsibilities, apply today! Each puppy will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, 4DX tested, flea treated, and dewormed, with all this included in the $275 adoption fee. Please be patient with us as we review applications! If you are approved, you will be contacted. We will contact in order of applications submitted. Before deciding to adopt, please make sure you are ready for a 12-15 year commitment. Too many people jump into adopting with good intentions because they see a cute photo. Suddenly they get home with the puppy and realize they are in over their heads and the only one that suffers is the dog. If you're ready to potty train, if you're ready to lose sleep, if you don't mind things getting chewed up around the house and if you work full time and have someone willing to come over during the day to let them out, then take the next step today! (8-10 hours alone for a puppy is not fair at this age and makes it much harder to potty train) This puppy has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated and dewormed which is included in the adoption fee.

Story
My husband and I adopted Nash while living in Nashville in 2018. At the time we didn’t have any kids and could focus on Nash a lot more. He has been a great dog for 7 years and he is so patient and kind with our 2 year old. We are having another baby in January and it’s becoming too much with the dog to manage. We can’t have a fence at our home because of the HOA And Nash doesn’t get good exercise like he needs. Though it is a very hard decision because we love Nash deeply, We feel rehoming him is best for our family and for Nash at this time.
