Story
Meet Lillith, Lilly for short. Lilly was on the euthanasia list at the Preble County Warden's office. We were able to "pull" this sweet girl and get her into foster care where she has gone from skin and bones to a joyful, thriving, beautiful girl. Lilly's DOB is 12/11/19. She is crate and potty-trained. Lilly likes to watch birds and squirrels. She will chase them a bit. She loves to look for treats in the yard and she loves belly rubs. Lilly has gotten used to being wiped down with a wet towel. She's not a fan of getting her teeth brushed or cutting her toenails but she'll let you do it. She's always down for a walk. Lilly loves to cuddle with her humans but is a bit picky with her dog friends. She does ok with male dogs but definitely not females. It might be better if she doesn't have to share all the snuggles with any dogs. If you would like to give Lilly her happily ever after please fill out an application.

Story
I am rehoming Sadie for a friend of mine who just wasn’t able to keep up with her needs. She has been kept up in a bedroom for majority of her life and was severely malnourished when I discovered her. She longs for company and to be able to freely run outside, so a fenced in backyard is preferred. She is the sweetest dog ever and will try her hardest to not let you down. She just wants affection. She has the best “SIT” I’ve ever seen and I wish I could take her myself but I already have 2 dogs and am relocating soon. Because Sadie was underfed for so long, her stomach is sensitive and has to go quite often. But she will always let you know she has to go, and is very sad and ashamed when she can’t hold it. Which isn’t her fault, but she has been treated as so. I’m not sure if her exact age and breed, but am sure she is a loving and sweet girl with a hysterical personality that deserves lots of space and attention

Story
Hello! We see that you are interested in Humphrey. Every day we are getting to know more about Humphrey and his unique quirks and personality. He has lived with other dogs in his previous home and done amazing with them. So far we have noticed how great he is with other dogs. He has been amazing with all the dogs we have had him in playgroups with. His true personality shines when he is with other dogs. He is a very sweet boy. Once he gets to know you he loves to snuggle up and give kisses. He is sure to melt your heart. He has been around and lived with children ages 0+ and has done well with them. Humphrey was crate trained and house broken when he came to us, but may need a refresher due to being in a shelter setting. He is a very active boy and will need plenty of space to run and play. While Humphrey does know a few commands such as sit and wait, he would greatly benefit from consistent and ongoing training, to keep him being the best boy he can be. Are you interested in getting to know Humphrey? Please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit him and all our adoptable pets.

Story
Maxwell has spent way too much time at the shelter, and it’s time for him to finally get his second chance. This energetic, affectionate boy is always up for a game of catch, a long jog, or just hanging out with his favorite people—preferably in their lap (even if he doesn’t quite fit!). He’s known as the “Kissing Bandit” for a reason—he loves showering people with attention and affection.Maxwell is eager to learn and thrives when given structure and guidance. He already knows sit and is working on stay and down. He may pull on the leash at first, but once he settles in, he’s a fantastic walking or jogging partner. He’s also housebroken, which means he’s ready to transition straight into home life.Because Maxwell thrives best in a structured environment, we recommend he go to a home without children. If you have other pets, we highly recommend a meet-and-greet to ensure the best fit.As of January 31, 2025, Maxwell has been waiting over 517 days for HIS forever home. He’s available for adoption, foster, or a Paw Pass adventure, where you can take him out for the day and let him experience the world beyond the shelter. Please don’t let him spend another day behind these walls—TEXT 513-687-7598 for more information on fostering or adopting Maxwell!

Story
Blitzen came to us as a stray in early November of 2023. We all were blown away by this girls energy, goofy personality, and head strong ways. She loved spending time zooming around our play yards and stealing hearts! Her favorite activities include splashing in the pool and playing with her one true love Diesel! In her recent foster home they found that she was house trained, crate trained, and loves meeting new people.
