This handsome fellah is ready to wiggle his way right into your family to find a family to grow up with. He has entered our DASH Prison Training Program where he is learning his puppy manners and basic commands. He is working on (& getting pretty good with) sit, stay, down, wait & leave it. Freddie is great on a leash, is (mostly) housebroken in the prison environment but will need continued training & encouragement to get these down while he acclimates to his new home. He will go into his crate but whines if he is left alone because he'd rather be with his person. He likes playing with the other dogs but has not been cat tested. His handler says Freddie is a happy, playful, affectionate, energetic little boy. With all that puppy energy a meet and greet is recommended especially with younger children. He is out of all that high energy puppy stage, but more than happy to accompany you for a walk or a lap around the yard. We adopted Bailey from a rescue in January 2018. Bailey was part of a litter that was rescued after their mother was hit by a car. Her estimated birthdate is November 2017. She’s been great with our children, both of which she’s been with since they were born. Bailey is a proud protector of her home and family. There was a cat in the home when Bailey was a puppy, which she handled well. However, she has been the only animal in the home for several years now so we don’t know how she would do with other pets. Bailey is potty trained and crate trained, sometimes spending up to 8 hours in the cage during the work day. She’s a high energy dog and it’s unfair for us to keep her confined for so long. Bailey loves to run and would enjoy a fenced in yard. She does have a history of seizures which she is medicated for, and she has not had breakthrough seizure activity with her current medication regimen which she has been on for a year at least. She does well with boarding when we travel.

Mariposa is a sweet baby at the lovely age of 7. She loves to be lazy and sleep on the couch, in her dog bed and bed out in the backyard on sunny days. She enjoys walks, runs and exploring. She loves cuddling with adults and is very protective of her space. She doesn’t eat food off the counter, she doesn’t steal food from your hands. She will sit and wait to see if you drop something. Mariposa is anxious and doesn’t like other dogs. Children make her nervous. She would be best in a home with older children (high schoolers) and no dogs. She is our baby and full of love to give, we just have little children that make her super nervous creating an unsafe space for both children and dog.

A gorgeous blue velvet Staffordshire/ Boxer mix with a soft coat, Finnick has lots of love to share. He has lots of energy, loves rolling in the grass and playing fetch. Finnick enjoys hanging out with people outside during playtime. He would enjoy being the only in pet in the home with a fenced yard and would love to be your companion . With an estimated birth date of March 2, 2021 and weighing 58 pounds, Finnick has been vet checked, neutered, is up to date on vaccines, on flea & heartworm prevention. Currently he is on sensitive stomach food. We hope that once he is out of the stresses of the shelter, he might be able to return to regular dog food. We ask a donation of $145 cash to help with vet expenses and a dog license. Pets are seen by appointment.
