Story
**Belle is at risk of euthanization due to decline in environment.** LOVABLE BOWLING BALL LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO CATCH HER WITH OPEN ARMS Lovable Belle is available for long-term foster, or foster-to-adopt! Out-of-State Available for adoption. She has been a great house guest since escaping death row at Franklin County all because she wanted to play with volunteers. As Boxers do, they LOVE to play and are notorious back-talkers. "What do you mean she can't play fetch right now?!" While the cold air is far from her favorite, Belle loves to play fetch... where you don't get the ball back. We keep an arsenal of balls at our disposal hoping she'll bring at least one back before she goes for the next. Have you ever seen a dog shove more than one ball in her mouth? Neither have we. But, Belle keeps trying. When not running around the yard, she loves playing with stuffed toys in the house or bouncing around like she's dancing. While Belle can be ready to play a majority of the day, she does have a nice sweet, calm affectionate side. Belle likes to lean against her handlers legs and ask for pets. Her kisses are gentle and she even has a very apologetic side for accidentally sliding into your potted plant. Belle didn't mean to, and how can you blame her with those sweet eyes? She was only trying to have fun. While nearly perfect in everyway, including being a good listener, she is strong. Strong like Hulk. Need to move that car that's blocking your driveway, out of the way? I bet Belle could push it with ease. Alright, that's a little dramatized, maybe. But, at least be ready to saddle up on the leash. We have been working with her on leash handling, and she's doing great! However, sometimes she gets excited and will pull. With proper equipment, it hasn't been as difficult keeping your feet planted into the ground. Belle loves kids but can be a lot for the younger ones. She sits on the people she loves. Belle loves playing with other dogs but smaller dogs might disappear under her feet. Belle is not cat tested at this time but we can cat-test. Based on cues and behaviors, we predict a moderate chance of getting along with cats. Not low but not high. 50/50. Crate-Trained Does well in her crate with some FOMO. Belle will whine when she has to use the bathroom. Might need some convicing to go in some days. No separation anxiety presented. Mostly Housebroken Belle doesn't chew or destroy the home (at least, not intentionally). Belle appears potty trained as long as cues are being acknowledged. If not, she will not hold it. Handler should reinforce potty training. Story
We'd like to re-introduce you to Winnie, a remarkable dog who's come a long way since we last introduced her a few months ago. If you remember she rescued by a Good Samaritan and had an an iliac fracture and MAJOR ear troubles. Thanks to the unwavering support of our incredible community, we were able to provide her with the necessary medical care, granting her the gift of a pain-free life through total ear canal ablation surgery she needed. Now, the time has come for us to find Winnie her forever home. At around 5-6 years old, Winnie is not just any dog; she's a TOTAL SWEETHEART! She has been living with a foster and has shown great compatibility with their other large dog, Scottie. Day by day, she's making huge strides in meeting new people. Instead of being terrified, she now greets strangers with excitement. Her transformation is nothing short of inspiring. Winnie does reasonably well around cats but may need some separation when left alone. She's learning to understand them, but she’s not aggressive towards them. When it comes to children, we believe she would thrive best in a home with older kids, as her playfulness can be exuberant, akin to a bull in a China shop. She also can be a bit mouthy when she wants attention, but it’s more gentle and nothing major. For Winnie, a fenced-in yard would be ideal, she would thrive in an active home and one that can continue nurturing her newfound confidence. Is that with you? If you are interested in potentially meeting Winnie, send us a message!

Story
Meet Revere, a 5 1/2-year-old Boxer/Terrie mix who’s ready to charm his way into your heart with his lovable quirks and resilience. Revere’s journey to us began after a summer thunderstorm, leaving him in need of medical care. Underweight and nursing a fractured right rear leg, this courageous adventurer has proven himself to be a fighter with a goofy grin that’s impossible to resist. Revere also sports a distinctive head tilt, which has been diagnosed as idiopathic meaning its exact cause remains a mystery. Despite extensive testing ruling out common issues like ear infections and vestibular disease, this adorable tilt has become Revere’s signature look. It doesn’t slow him down one bit; instead, it only adds to his charm! He may not look like your average dog due to his special needs, but this spirited guy takes it all in stride and is one of the happiest dogs in our care & a staff and volunteer favorite! During a foster break from the shelter, his foster mom reported that he was housebroken, loved to cuddle with the kids and play with his stuffies! Revere’s ideal home will be one that understands his unique needs. His medical conditions may require ongoing care, and we’re happy to discuss his journey in detail with you. He’s an affectionate, people-loving pup who thrives on attention and praise. While his heart is big, his social skills with other dogs aren’t quite there yet, so Revere will need to be the only pet in the home. This leggy, slanty walker is ready to share his zest for life with a family that will embrace his quirks and provide him the love and care he deserves. Are you ready to give Revere his happily ever after? Reach out to us to learn more about this one-of-a-kind guy!

Story
Please if anyone can help him! I can't do it anymore. Archie is a pitty mix. He is 3 years old. We rescued him as a young pup from a hoarding environment. He has many environment triggers and can be very reactive. We have tried many different ways to help him with his fears but just don't have the resources anymore. He is afraid of people and will need someone who will be patient with him. He takkes a long time to like a new person. He will nip at people but has not actually bitten anyone we always use a muzzle around new people. That doesn't mean he won't bite if he is afraid. He has recently become more dog aggressive. His anxiety is more than I can handle anymore. He is cage trained and housebroken. He is muzzle trained and knows a few commands like sit, come, shake. He needs a place that he can have space to play. I am hoping there is someone out there that is trained in aggressive behavior and can help him so he doesn't have to be put down. He is up to date on rabies.
