Story
Say hello to Little Dough Boy! He is a 1 year old Boxer mix who weighs about 48 pounds. Little Dough Boy is an energetic and social boy who is always ready to play. He is still a young dog, so he has plenty of energy and would love someone that can match his gregarious personality! He is your typical puppy who can be mouthy and rowdy at times, but once he settles down, he is the ultimate snuggle bug. Little Dough Boy loves his food and his toys and doesn`t like sharing, so he needs an adopter that can respect his space when he has his treasures.Little Dough Boy is sensitive with new dogs and can be very unsure at first, so he would need time and space when he meets a new dog to see if they`d be a good fit. He cannot live with cats, so he wouldn`t mind one bit being the only animal in his forever home so he can soak up all of your love and affection. If there are kids in his forever home, they would need to be ages 13 and older so they can handle him rambunctious personality. If Little Dough boy sounds like the pup for you, stop in today to meet this bundle of energy!

Story
Meet Revere, a 5 1/2-year-old Boxer/Terrie mix who’s ready to charm his way into your heart with his lovable quirks and resilience. Revere’s journey to us began after a summer thunderstorm, leaving him in need of medical care. Underweight and nursing a fractured right rear leg, this courageous adventurer has proven himself to be a fighter with a goofy grin that’s impossible to resist. Revere also sports a distinctive head tilt, which has been diagnosed as idiopathic meaning its exact cause remains a mystery. Despite extensive testing ruling out common issues like ear infections and vestibular disease, this adorable tilt has become Revere’s signature look. It doesn’t slow him down one bit; instead, it only adds to his charm! He may not look like your average dog due to his special needs, but this spirited guy takes it all in stride and is one of the happiest dogs in our care & a staff and volunteer favorite! During a foster break from the shelter, his foster mom reported that he was housebroken, loved to cuddle with the kids and play with his stuffies! Revere’s ideal home will be one that understands his unique needs. His medical conditions may require ongoing care, and we’re happy to discuss his journey in detail with you. He’s an affectionate, people-loving pup who thrives on attention and praise. While his heart is big, his social skills with other dogs aren’t quite there yet, so Revere will need to be the only pet in the home. This leggy, slanty walker is ready to share his zest for life with a family that will embrace his quirks and provide him the love and care he deserves. Are you ready to give Revere his happily ever after? Reach out to us to learn more about this one-of-a-kind guy! Please note Revere currently resides in a foster home and is not available for same day meet and greets. If interested in learning more about Revere and the adoption process, please email the shelter foster team at foster@cuyahogacounty.gov today!

Story
Noah is a 7-month-old energetic and playful pup with a handsome brindle coat and a whole lot of growing left to do. Like many adolescents, Noah can be a bit jumpy and is still learning his manners and basic commands, but he’s a nice boy who will thrive with consistent training and guidance. Noah has been social and appropriate with both male and female dogs in playgroup and truly enjoys spending time in the yard running, playing, and burning off energy. He may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and is eager to make friends. Because of his enthusiasm and jumping, Noah is seeking a home with children ages 10 and up who can help reinforce his training. With structure, patience, and plenty of outlets for play, this sweet brindle boy will grow into a wonderful family companion. If you’re ready to help a young dog learn the ropes and grow into his best self, Noah would love to join your home.
