Story
Contact foster at ksblanks34@gmail.com- Has an old injury on his front let- He is a happy-go-lucky boy- Super sweet + treat motivated- Has puppy energy and would benefit from continued practive of basic obedience training and consistency- Loves toys, belly rubs + snuggling on the sofa- Sillest boy who jumped right inside the toy bin and had the time of his life- Happiest by your side, staying close and following you around- Learning `sit` and `lay down` which he does very well when there are no distractions and is getting better during outings. Tommy gets anxious or overexcited in new environments, but he responds very well to the “chill” command when it’s given in a soothing voice. He does experience some separation anxiety, though he typically settles within 10–20 minutes depending on the day. Guiding him to “chill” through the camera microphone has also been helpful. He is alert and can be reactive to noises and people around the apartment building. His reactivity can include a stiff body, low growl, barking, or lunging—especially when first stepping outside (he improves the farther he gets from the door), at drive-thru workers, or when another dog growls at him during introductions. His foster reports that this reactivity toward strangers, other dogs, and loud bangs in and around the home is getting a lot better. During outings, he continues to do very well. He has made great friends with a few neighbors and has had positive interactions with other dogs, enjoying running around and taking turns playing chase. He wants to play with any dog who will have him. While he has experienced dog parks, they are not the best option for him right now. On a recent trip to PetSmart for socialization, he was initially overexcited but settled in and became curious and interested in everything around him. He has improved with his leash-biting tendency by working on “no mouth” and learning more appropriate ways to play. He is very treat-motivated, which is helping his training tremendously. Tommy will benefit from continued work with a trainer regarding his reactivity, but he is making meaningful progress and showing great potential.

Story
Contact my foster at tasidkennedy@gmail.comAnd the award for best ears in Charlotte goes too…Lilly!!She is a 6 month old petite boxer mix with a cute short snout, wrinkly forehead and her eye liner game is on point! Lilly is a joy to have in our home. She gets along well with our resident dogs and is very interested but respectful of our cats. She adores our kids as well. She is very submissive so slow intros and good natured doggy friends are a must.Lilly is still a little wary of new experiences like the car and doors (those pesky entrance-ways are daunting for this girly) but with a loving, patient family she will surely grow in confidence and strut and stroll with the best of them! Lilly is crate trained, no accidents and will hold her pee but she is a young puppy so still needs diligent potty training. In a busy outing at a street fair she did amazing, said hi to kids and adults and walked well on the leash. All in all an incredible girl and I wouldn’t be surprised if she finds her furever home very soon! More about Lilly,•Sweet puppy girl with a beautiful coat and the cutest ears!•Adjusting to the big world around her, loud noises are scary•Loves people!! Formed attachment/trusted finder quickly •Eventually settles in crate when she knows you’re there. Slept through the night•No accidents in the house with a consistent potty schedule •Working on commands but is highly treat motivated •Met finder’s dogs and showed submissive behavior (slow intros to resident animals a must). Warmed up and wanted to play and cuddle •Needs some encouragement and help on the leash•A bit nervous in the car but was respectful and settled

Story
Meet Java  – Your Favorite Barista with a Side of Sass!  Don’t let the resting”Pit” face fool you—Java is all heart and full of love! This stunning pittie mama has raised a whole litter of deliciously adorable “cups of Joe” pups  (Joe, Jose, and Joey to name a few) who have all found their forever homes. Now it’s her turn to clock out of the mom shift and find a couch of her own. Java’s been brewing her signature charm at StarPups Coffee, where she’s the resident barista and queen of the counter. She is the perfect blend of warm and dignified energy. Her regulars are received with an enthusiastic tail wag, but if your order includes six pumps of anything…cue the judgmental eye roll! She’ll tolerate other pups like she tolerates weak coffee—with a sigh and a glance toward the door. She much prefers people, but isn’t bitter about dog company, just indifferent!  ‍ Personality Blend: Bold roast with a no-nonsense aroma Warms up quickly to her human Low drama, high standards  Perks of Adopting Java: House-trained Expert napper Silent judge of your coffee order Always dressed for work (look at that natural eyeliner and caramel coat!) Java would love to hang up her barista apron (because honestly, queens don’t work) and instead visit coffee shops with you so you can people watch and gossip.  Apply today for your forever coffee date! ##2448108##
