My adoption fee is $250 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. She’s super sweet and laid back and would be a great dog to have by your side while relaxing on the couch. She loves attention and belly rubs. She loves to play outside, especially with other dogs. She is very dog friendly.  She loves car rides and is great on a leash. She can get a little vocal in her kennel, but she doesn’t mind being in there.  We’re working on basic commands (she’d rather lay down and get belly rubs than learn to sit), but she is great with routines.December 20, 2024, 12:36 pm

Nitro is a smart and friendly 4-year-old male dog who is looking for a forever home after being returned to the shelter when his previous owners no longer wanted him. He was adopted from the shelter as a young pup and now, after 3.5 years, he is back with us. He is a big boy who is athletic and loves to run and play. He would benefit from a home with a fenced-in yard where he can run and play to his heart's content. Nitro is a charming and happy dog who is affectionate and gets along with people. He is a handsome boy who is sure to steal your heart. Nitro is fully vetted and ready to go to his forever home. If you think that Nitro might be the right dog for you, please come and meet him today to see if he is the missing piece in your heart and home. Maybe Nitro will be the sweetest surprise you ever gave yourself! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home. In order to adopt any of our "bully breeds" there is special paper work that will need to be collected and approved prior to the adoption. We love all of our dogs and want to make sure to place our "bully babies" in homes best suited for them.

Meet Piper!! Piper is a 5 year old Boxer Mix. Piper came to us when her owner passed away, so as you can imagine being at the shelter is very confusing and stressful for her since she had been in a home since she was a little puppy. Piper lived in a home with Rudolph (cat). She would be great for someone looking for a couch companion. She is housetrained, UTD on her vaccines and Heartworm negative the only thing missing is YOU! Remi & Apollo are brothers! Born 12/5/23. Up to date on vaccines. They are sweet! Lap dogs when allowed to be. They get along with my 13-year-old Goolden doodle, my 4-year-old GSP, as well as my 3-year-old Labradoodle and Cat! However, they are not getting along well with my 9-month-Old great Pyrenees. They are crate trained & sleep together in a crate every night. They are trained on an inground fencing system. They have just recently started eating once a day. Usually in the evenings. They eat 3 cups of food each. They have separate bowls and feed at the same time, with no problems. Remi is a cuddle buddy, and while Apollo likes attention, he isn't as adamant about getting it. I rescued them as 6-week-old puppies. They have always been skittish, around strangers but never aggressive towards any human. Good with my nieces and nephews. I'm hoping to find them a new forever home, while my intentions to save them were pure, I have overloaded my plate.

We can`t understand how someone could let this girl go, because Miss Laurel is just so easy to love. Laurel lives for meeting new people, belly rubs, squeaky toys, pets and between the ear scratches. And she loves giving kisses! Laurel is 100% certain that she is a lap dog and will not be convinced otherwise, so her human needs to be generous with snuggles and affection. Laurel has done well meeting children (at our adoption events) and with other dogs too. If you are looking for a lovable and playful companion, Laurel may be the one for you!
