Story
Spike is a purebred American boxer. He is territorial with food and bones, but he’s gotten better since I’ve adopted him. He’s pretty good with cats and dogs that are around his size. He is very affectionate and likes to be around his owner. He loves bones to death and enjoys walks. The SPCA informed me he has snapped at children and toddlers, he has behavioral issues and territorial issues. he needs someone who can be around him often and help him learn not to do that. I am away from home quite a bit and cannot properly train and give him attention. I need someone who is willing to adopt him and take care of him. Will need to transfer ownership through SPCA.

Tucker needs to go to a home without children. He is a sweet, lovable, cuddly, almost 2 year old pupper. He is an American bully / boxer mix, parents are both purebred. I have had him since he was about 10 weeks old. Tucker is very smart and obeys commands well. Unfortunately, he has begun resource guarding with certain bones and other things and becomes very possessive and aggressive if you get too close, try to take the object or take him away from it. Though I could work with my trainer to correct the issue and get him to obey me, he will never obey my kids if they were to give the same command and it’s too much of a risk to keep him in my home with my kids. He would do VERY well in a home without kids, and plays well with his big brother dog. We love him and want him to find a good home! Please consider this sweet boy.

Our pets are physically located and fostered in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to you or meet 1/2 way for the cost of our gas. We are 5 1/2 hrs west of Virginia Beach. Our pets are physically located and fostered in NC until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to you. We have a cost effective transporter that has stops in most north eastern states. Transport runs every 2 weeks. Please note! Don't just apply just because this dog has a cheap adopt fee. You must prove you can afford to adopt regardless! I find that most of the folks who apply for my reduced fee dogs back out when they realize they are still responsible for the transport fee. If this applies to you please don't waste our time! To the VA Beach area we can transport to your location for $200 or we can do halfway for $100. This will cover just my gas with today's high gas prices. You are welcome to drive to us in Mt.Airy, NC to pick up! Scarlett was born 2-1-21. Her mom was a german shepherd golden mix. We are not positive what dad was. Scarlett is active and very loving. She is good with people and ok with other dogs her size. She is too playful for small dogs. She needs a large dog only home. She is not good with cats. She needs an active home with room to run. She would not do well in a cramped up apartment with no exercise. She is house trained and crate trained, This baby will go home spayed and current on vaccinations, deworming, flea preventives, started on heartworm prevention and microchipped. This pup will receive a health certificate issued by our vet prior to going home. The adopter will get all his health records with the adoption. We require a prescreen application to apply.
