Story
After a run in with a bee the morning of her first scheduled spay - Roxy was cleared and spayed last week which means this amazing full of life and love little girl is ready to find a family to call her own. Roxy was found abandoned and was very emaciated but even though failed by humans - her love for people never quit shining. She is estimated to be 1-2 years old , her current weight is 45 pounds - so she is a smaller l girl and we honestly do not know what her breed it - that face and her personality screams boxer but something smaller in there as well. She is great with kids, has met a kitten and did well and Roxy would love to have other active dogs in her new forever home as she loves loves loves to play. With patience and consistency from her amazing foster Mom, Ashley, she learned housebreaking quickly. She would really benefit from an active family with kids and other dogs to play with. And she loves loves loves her toys - so toys are a must in her new home. Are you interested in adding this special girl to your family - head on over to our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org and fill out one of our adoption applications. Roxy is current on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, has had a full blood panel done , a 4DX Heartworm Test and is current on her monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.00 We do NOT set up meet and greets until your application has been received and reviewed. And we do not have a facility - all of our dogs are in private foster homes located in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

Story
This amazing boy is ready to find a home to call his own - Stitch - we had a foster open and I posted some of the dogs in need at one of our favorite shelters Transylvania County Animal Services and Kara and Bryce thought Stitch would fit right in as a foster and boy did he ever - this dog is simply amazing - he came to one of our events before Helene and he was perfect. Very well mannered and just a sweet boy to every person and animal that came to greet him Stitch is estimated to be 2-3 years old - and he is a petite little guy at 40 pounds - we have no idea his breed - he acts like he has some boxer down in there somewhere but he is a certified loveable mutt and those are the absolute best Here is what his amazing foster Mom, Kara, had to say about him - Stitch is the sweetest and happiest boy you will ever meet. He is house broken and crate trained. He rides great in a car. Stitch would do best in a moderately active to highly active home as he does have a lot of energy. He would also love to have a playmate as he is very playful and loves pretty much any dog he comes across. He absolutely loves toys . He has been great with kids but keep in mind he does get bursts of energy and zoomies so there is always the potential that he could knock smaller kids down. He loves to snuggle and does not mind taking up the whole bed Stitch is a super smart boy and a quick learner. Stitch was dumped in the National Forest here locally - no idea why as he is darn near perfect - so now it is our job to find him a family that will cherish him forever - just as he deserves. Stitch is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, has had a fecal, 4DX Heartworm test (negative) , a full bloodwork panel done, dewormed and is current on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. His adoption fee is $250.00 You can find our adoption application on our website www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org We do not set up any meet and greets until the application has been received and reviewed and then we will call you. As a reminder we do not have a facility - all of our dogs are in private foster homes throughout Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. Lets find this boy a home and a last name - he sure does deserve it

Story
Bubba is a sweet lovable dog with lots of energy. He needs someone with a yard and time to play with him. He loves to be around his people and will not leave your side. When he wags his bob, he shakes his whole body to greet you. He is less than a year old and still in the puppy stage. He would make a good dog for someone who has a yard for energy and the time to work with him. We love him but do not have the space to keep him.

High energy, absolutely zero aggression issues and house trained. I am finding her a new home because my work life balance has shifted and I feel she would be happier in a home where she was able to get more attention.

Story
Musi is a sweetheart and we love him dearly. We adopted him at 8 weeks from a foster home where he was being kept with his mom and his litter mates. His estimated birthdate is October 19, 2023. He loves people and other dogs and has a lot of energy for play! One of the adoptive parents did their pup's DNA test and he came back with a mix of Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull Terrier, German Shepherd, Alaskan Husky, and Great Pyrenees. He's smart and a super sweetie but we have been unable to accommodate his need for a lot of activity and training. Musi would do amazing in a setting with a family or couple where he has lots of room to run and play and other dogs to interact with. Our small house and no yard and only one adult to take care of him have proven challenging. We will be heartbroken to rehome this pup but just can't provide him with what he needs.

Story
Luna is highly allergic to her surroundings here in WNC. She does require an extra special level of care to keep her skin at a semi-tolerable level, which is still quite irritating for her. She's on Apoquel and also takes Zyrtec and Benadryl. She has been allergy tested. We considered immunotherapy but she has a high level of allergens so we weren't sure if it would be effective and opted not to proceed. Very sweet and affectionate dog. She loves attention and meeting new people. She is okay with other dogs until they show aggression. At that point, she will react. Ultimately, we are rehoming her due to our other dogs not tolerating her well. She and our senior female dog fight and it's starting to occur more often. I'm worried one of them will become injured in the future.
