Our dogs are fostered and located in North Carolina until adopted. Once adopted we can transport to your location or to one of the other north eastern locations. We have a cost effective transporter who runs every other week. This sweetie was born 12-1-22. She is a boxer mix. She is a bit shy until she gets to know you. However, she warms up fast. She likes everyone and is good with kids. She does well with other dogs but she does not like cats. She is potty trained and crate trained. She really is the sweetest humble soul ever! This pup is current in all age appropriate vaccines, preventives, heartworm tested and on prevention and microchipped. She will be spayed prior to going to her new home. The adopter will get all the health records with the adoption. We require a prescreen application to adopt. You can get that on the website at www.saveamuttkennel.net

Story
Herbie is a lovable 70-pound Boxer mix with a heart full of gold. About a year old, he was found wandering the back roads of Tennessee without a collar or microchip, battling a tough case of mange. While no one has come forward to claim him, Herbie is now looking for his forever family! His skin is healing beautifully, and his sweet, curious nature shines through more each day. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Herbie enjoys his daily walks and is getting better at leash manners. He’s also learning to curb his excitement when greeting people! He’s great with other dogs and, after playtime, is happy to sit quietly by your side. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, but we think his gentle personality would be a great match for the right home! Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Herbie find loving homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Could your family be the one Herbie's been waiting for? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 4:52 pm

Story
Hero came to PCHS as a local stray unclaimed. He was traveling with another dog, that was hit and killed by a car. Hero is a very active dog, adjusting well to having daily care and TLC. He is housebroken, but will need additional leash walking training. Hero is food motivated. He would benefit with an active home and lifestyle with reassurance. Hero loves to splash around in water! If you have another dog, meet and greet is required. We believe Hero will be a loyal companion.

Story
Zoey is energetic with puppy like tendencies. She also reportedly has a high prey drive; therefore, she cannot be in a home with cats and would do best in a home with no small chikden as she has no idea how big she is. Zoey is also dog selective, so a dog meet and greet is required for her future forever. She loves affection, playing catch, sleeping in her humans bed , chew bones and is eager to learn.

Story
Winston was discovered in Port Jervis, tied to a guardrail, emaciated and filthy. Upon arrival, he exhibited no manners and was smeared with his own feces, likely having spent his entire life in a crate. Through diligent work and positive reinforcement, he has made remarkable progress. He's learning to give and receive love, enjoys playing with tennis balls, but can become overexcited with toys, so he requires slow and consistent training. With the right home, Winston has the potential to be an extraordinary companion. Consider applying to meet Winston today and provide him with the loving life he has always deserved but never experienced.
