Story
Ziggy is an older distiguished gentledog. He loves to be a couch potato. He does love going for a walk. He is always happy to see people and give them his paw. He follows commands and is crate trained. His nickname is "Tiger" because of his coat. He is very loving to people and selective to other dogs. Proper introduction is always a must. He wouldn't be ideal with a house that has small children. He is always eager to please. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He would love to travel anywhere in the US or Canada. ##1545628##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hatcher (GA) is a male Boxer mix estimated to be 4 months old at the time of intake in July 2024. Hatcher is up to date on core vaccines (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. Hatcher will be neutered prior to joining his forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Hatcher is good with people and other dogs. We found Hatcher in a shelter suffering immensely with an open, raw wound from a burn down the length of his back. We immediately pulled Hatcher out and got him to our veterinary partner for wound treatment and pain relief.  Despite his horrific condition, Hatcher was tail-waggingly happy! Hatcher's wound is almost healed, and he's ready for his forever home. If you are Hatcher's forever person, please apply online to adopt Hatcher (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. His adoption fee is $575.  Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:34 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spanky (SC) is a male Boxer mix rescued in South Carolina. Our veterinary partner estimates that Spanky is 8 years old at the time of intake in April 2022.  Spanky's life was on hold while he languished in a kill shelter with a large tumor on his back.  As soon as we found out about Spanky, we pulled him out and sent him to our veterinary partner where the tumor was removed.  He is doing great now with his foster and is ready for a forever home! Spanky is good with people and other dogs.  He is very sweet, loving, and alert.  He loves peanut butter, toys, and spending time in the sun.  He takes a toy to bed with him each night.  He also enjoys running around the yard.  This boy is super sweet and friendly, and his tail never stops wagging!  He deserves to live the rest of his life in a happy, loving home. If you have room in your heart for Spanky, please apply online to adopt Spanky (SC) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.   RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Paloma is a female Boxer mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Paloma is 5 years old at the time of intake in May 2020. Paloma is good with people of all ages and other dogs.  You can see the heartbreak in Paloma's eyes which tell the story of a loveless life of neglect and abuse at the end of a short, heavy logging chain.  But when we convinced Paloma's owner to surrender her to us, we saw a sparkle in Paloma's eye that was never there before. From now on, Paloma's life will be filled with love, happiness, soft beds, toys, treats and a forever family who will cherish her.  Paloma is a laid back, low maintenance, quiet lady who is happy with a few walks a day.  She would be happy as a solo doggy, or with a doggy sibling her size or larger. Paloma mostly likes to cuddle on the couch and nap. You will not regret making this sweet girl a part of your family! If you can love Paloma so fiercely that it will make her forget the first 5 years of her life, then perhaps you are the family Paloma deserves.  Please apply online to adopt Paloma at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. Story
This beautiful and sweet girl is HARBOR! Take a look at her reindeer photo...she's Santa's newest reindeer! She's just a year old and such a good girl. We think she's a Mountain Cur and Boxer mix and she has a stunning brindle coat with a white chest and paws. She's fully grown at 40 pounds which is a perfect medium sized pup. She's very smart and living with a great Foster family now and must have been in a good home when she was younger because she knows basic commands and is house-trained too. She has playful energy as you'd expect with a 1 year old but she knows when it's 'quiet time' and time to relax. She loves everyone...kids, other dogs and cats too! She also LOVES going for walks and she walks great on a leash ...not reactive to other dogs at all. She's just perfect and will be a wonderful family dog and deserves a happily ever after life! Please reach out to Long Road Home Rescue (lrhrescue@gmail.com) to get more info and pics of this sweetie pie.
