Bear Home Needed – Long Island, NY area Meet Bear. This sweet, social, older gentleman is looking for the perfect home to spend what’s left of his life. Bear is a large mixed breed weighing approx. 50lbs. He was surrendered by his people because they were moving, and Bear was not welcomed to move with them. He is slightly underweight and shows signs of neglect. Bear is a 12-year-old sweetheart who is looking for a retirement home; he has some health issues which PAWS will help support. Bear would do best in an initially calm and quiet home environment where he can be given time to acclimate to his new surroundings. He is low energy and spends most of his day napping….when he’s not asking for treats. Bear loves puzzle toys. He's really come out of his shell in the last few days, now that he’s safe and cared for. He’s friendly with dogs and seems to enjoy dogs with his energy level. He hasn’t had any exposure to cats. We'd love to see Bear spend his final years in a comfy and calm environment.
