Story
Our last intake of the 2024 year!!! Welcome Masarati, an owner surrender from Binghamton and currently with an upstate NY foster home. She is about 4 1/2 months old and settling in well making friends with every person and dog she meets, but not the kitties so she needs a kitty free home! She will need to learn her basics as we get her basic medical care done. Then she will be ready for a forever home! All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary. Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies. Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Please note we do not adopt animals into Canada. Visit www.pmarinc.org for more information, and to fill out an application. Story
Scooby is our longest resident, and that’s because he is really not meant to be a shelter dog but has a hard time convincing potential adopters of that. He is a sensitive dog who gets concerned about stressful things in his environment. He has come such a long way with his anxiety and nerves with us in the shelter but what he requires is stability and consistency. He was in a temporary foster for two weeks and during that time he showed so much growth as he finally had a chance to settle in as a house pet. After some decompression, we found he wasn’t destructive, played with toys and puzzles, snuggled up on the couch, and even had some nice car rides (with only a little whining). Even in the shelter he is a gentle, friendly boy who follows commands, waits patiently for volunteers to leash him in his kennel, and is easy to walk. Although sometimes he does get spooked and wants to go back inside. What Scooby needs is someone with patience and a willingness to build trust with him once they bring him home and who can work constructively with him on his anxiety needs. We have a trainer who will help the new adopter transition Scooby into his new home. Everyone who knows Scooby, loves him!

Story
Hi, my name is Calliope! I'm a young gal who knows a lot of tricks. I can sit, lay down, roll over, and much more! My favorite activity is chasing and wrestling with the jolly balls. When playtime is over, I enjoy getting butt scratches and cuddling. If you're looking for a sweet lap dog, I'm your girl!

Story
Hello there, I'm Isabella! I'm a sweet, friendly gal with a goofy side that keeps everyone entertained. I love to play and cuddle, but I'm also a bit picky about my doggy friends. It's not that I don't like them, I just prefer some over others. You could say I'm selective. I have the biggest heart and the sweetest smile that will melt your heart!
